Started off bad and then did average. With a shield of Fleck and Norwood I feel for the CB’s

He will be a decent player for us. He hasn't played much recentlt and being fair to the lad he needs game time. He will look a different player after a few games for us. Wait and see.

I'm more concerned about those we have had for years who continually look like they've never seen a football at the start of the season. Once again, start of the season and Utd lose and dont score. I'm starting to see a pattern.

Clark was woeful but grew into the game and the pace/skill of their forward line is unmatched by anyone else in the division, his aerial ability is likely going to be key in most games, like Milwall next week. Question marks over him but I’d give him at least a couple games on his natural side before we think about dropping him.

I felt a bit sorry for him being thrown into the side as a left footer at RCB against that front three. Probably one of the worst debuts I can remember seeing. He only looked comfortable after he’d seen his number up on the board to get subbed off.

Does anyone know what the injury is?

Hamstring. So frustrating to have O'Connell, Robinson & Clark all out injured.

Clark had a cracking home debut and gave us the kind of platform we need to perform.
We were always going to concede down that left channel today with RND and Lowe manning it.
The next goal is a set piece. Clark defended them brilliantly last week.

I really feel we'd have won with him today.

He's likely to be out for a while if it's a hamstring at his age, hopefully he just felt it slightly and needs to be managed carefully over the next couple of weeks and then he can come back into the fray.

I'm sceptical of this signing overall though. Probably wasn't a good idea to sign a 32 year old when countless players have been frequently becoming injured for not far off a year now at this club.

Starting to get really fed up with this now and if it carries on will dent our promotion chances if we even have any already.

I’m a lot older than Clark and I’ve pulled my hamstring it’s been 7 weeks and Im still getting twinges

4 weeks, 7 games and counting since we last saw Ciaran Clark.

With Lowe out, do we have any updates on him? Feel like we've been told "1 more week" every week.

Yep, I think the only criticism I have of Hecky right now is the utter BS he spouts regarding injuries.

Hearing the words back on the grass literally means fuck all to me and is starting to grind my gears. It could mean a player is smoking a joint than actually running about on a training pitch.

He was out for a week after the Millwall game on 6 August.

Then the Sunderland game was "too early" for him.

Nothing since I don't think.

The injuries wouldn't be so bad if anyone ever recovered from one.

Charlie Goode another example.

Plays once then disappears.

I think the problem is he's put dates on players returning and got bitten,
It would be nice if one of the medical team could come out and give updates even if it means they add a week or two to the come back dates then so be it

He will always be asked about injuries by the press.

KyGordon could come in, with Clark on the bench as a precaution if he’s not quite ready? Suspect PH is concerned about Clark’s match fitness, even if he is ‘back on grass’.

The back on grass thing is just Hecky speak. Imagine Slav getting his tongue around that!

To me, it just means the players rehab extends to playing non contact football on a vaguely familiar surface? No sprints or quick turns.?

It's a valid question - it's the biggest threat to our season.
In my opinion , if Lopata was on his way out , we should have recruited a CB.
Correct me if I'm wrong , but if we were playing Rovrum today , Anel would have to be on the left + Kyron would be the only defender on the bench.
If there any free agent defenders knocking about , would we be able to sign them now the window's closed ?
Do we have to declare a 25-man quad and , if so , when ?

What the fuck has he done to it?

McCall said that Clark was back in training, and very close to a return but then overextended and injured himself again. Whether it was the same injury or not is unclear.
