Chrissy having a dig at United fans

I respect your opinion but I still don't see where it gives you or Chris Wilder for that matter the right to tell people who you know nothing about how to live their lives. It might be all about club and fans coming together for you and I agree it is great to see how this has happened over the last few years but judging by the media that one sentence in a rant by Chris Wilder for reason known only to himself seems to have upset a lot of fans and is in fact doing damage to that fan/club relationship when there really is no need for it. I say do your job, look after your own lives and leave others to live theirs.
I keep saying I am not telling anyone how to live their lives, and I did say (post 247) that I doubt Wilder's words on this were wise. The only thing I would say you are wrong about (opinion, not a fact) is how much the players are affected by the crowd. Coaches and managers are constantly looking for that extra 1% that can make the difference in a close game; the crowd can be a part of that 1%. I do share your doubt that his words the other day will have the desired effect, though.

Well HodgysBrokenThumb CW would have summat to moan about if people were banging on the doors to be let out at HT like they do at the pig sty. ;)
We have a good fanbase on the whole I just find the comments on what others do unnecessary.
And we'd have something to moan about if Wilder put out a team like Wednesday's...

What about if there were no vocal backing? Should we not discuss that and encourage vocal backing?

Does anyone think that it encourages the team when they see the crowd leaving in their thousands whilst they’re still playing?

So why not ask for better? A strong, passionate support does not worry about avoiding being in a crowd for 5 minutes.

It’s people’s right to leave when they want, as it is others to point out that, to one degree or another, they’re “letting the side down” somewhat.

Is it me or are a minority of members having a hissy fit about Tufty having a hissy fit?
Someone has to say this, so... Are you now having a hissy fit about a minority of members having a hissy fit about Tufty having a hissy fit? Think that should put an end to this thread.

Why the hissy fit though HBT?

No H. I've remained, as usual, calm on this matter. It's any hissy fitters you need to ask.

:)

Each to their own and I will respect your opinion but to be fair I don't see anyone who has a different opinion berating the people that want to stay after the whistle to clap the team. I would ask do the players really really feel no one appreciates their efforts and achievements over not only this season but the three previous seasons seeing as we now virtually sell out every home game and sell out every away game allocation, there are believe it or not fans out there who can't get tickets. I just think it a bit rich that some have to live their lives like social media where every fucker thinks they know best and anyone not conforming to their thinking are open to ridicule and abuse, why don't people look after their own lives and stop telling others how to live theirs?

Only just read this, sorry its a late reply. I've already said my bit metal and would just be repeating myself as to why I think we should stay and clap the players and wait that extra five minutes, although I accept some have to go somewhere in a rush. I'm mot trying to tell people that I think they're a lesser Blade or anything daft like that but I just feel it is worth giving them that applause at the end when they come around. I hope I've not ridiculed anyone, although you may not be saying I said that.

I respect people of differing views on this too, like you said. UTB

CW regularly refers to us as “paying punters”, and that’s exactly what we are, so if he wants to start criticising his own fans he needs to understand we’ve got no specific loyalties towards him (obviously we support the club but you get what I mean). We’re spending our hard earned money and one day out of the two we get off making the effort to travel home and away to watch the team. Without us they’ve got fuck all so why should he have the audacity to even chirp up. Bet he’s not complaining about that fucking wage packet and neither are the rest of the squad.

Why do you dislike Wilder so much, did he shag your missus or something?
