Just listening to PoG on Radio Sheff after the Brighton game and Wilder obviously irked at some comments about United's performance today and especially called out fans not staying behind to clap the players off the pitch . He thought it was an outstanding performance and we never sat back and kept going for the win right until the end.

I disagree slightly. I don't think that it was a poor performance but it certainly wasn't outstanding in my eyes and we certainly did not continually go for the win. In fact, the initial setup of Olly and Billy up front and then the substitution of Didsy for Billy does not scream 'going for the win to me'. How on earth Moose wasn't played today baffled me. The game was crying out for a bit of pace and trickery up front as Brighton looked solid and organised in defence.

40 points is great and you can't win every game but I it looked like we were happy with a draw from 60 mins to be honest.

Wilder also commented that Brighton pride theirselves on controlling possession and they are usually quite positive and attacking.
So it was a surprise that they were so defensive with big numbers in their area and they hardly saw much of the ball either.

Wilders point was it shows how far we‘ve come when opposition teams are so respectful and approaching the match as though we’re a big 6 team.

We were dominant but not particularly dangerous, imo.

I thought that we were dominant in safe areas of the pitch but had little to no quality up front. The crossing was pretty ordinary and we were never going to seriously trouble their defence with such a lack of pace and creativity with the bus parked like that in front of them. I thought that Chris was strangely reserved with his changes and I think he knows that himself, hence the attitude in his post match interview (regardless of what he was saying).

I'm in total agreement with him regarding the fans.
Couldn't see how many empty there were on the kop, but all other parts of the ground looked sparse in comparison to other games.
On the performance, i thought it was very good, maybe not outstanding.
Osborn was excellent when he came on.

There was a stunning save by Ryan to the McBurnie poke towards goal, but we didn't really cause Ryan that much trouble.

It certainly wasn't an outstanding performance. Several players had good games but overall, as a team, we were a bit disjointed. Certainly a decent performance, but no more really. It wasn't like Brighton were holding on for dear life.

typical Ferguson-esque ploy to deflect attention.

As others have said thought he was too cautious with subs - should have taken berge off after an hour as he was a passenger and the lack of moose was ridiculous considering their lack of mobility at the back.

Moose even warmed up, stripped off and was ready to come on at 60 mins only for Chris to change his mind and tell him to sit back down. Didsy then came on instead... Not sure what the thinking was.

Its abit strange because I thought we played pretty well, but only drew, yet I thought we were abit stop start the last few games, and we have won! I do think Brighton looked scared to lose! And i do believe we went safe, by putting McG on and not moose, but 40 points at this stage of the season, still brilliant

Haven't heard it, so can't comment on what Wilder said.

For me bringing Moose on wouldn't have done a lot for us. They weren't a lot of opportunities to attack on the break. So not sure what good pace would have done. Think we needed to keep the ball down and try and play a death by a thousand passes kind of game. Both starting strikers should have at least tested the keeper if not hit the back of the net in the first 15.

Thought both keepers should have done better for the goals. Their keeper should not have been beaten at near post/above him and Deano needs to stop coming for balls he doesn't win. Maupay's header was well directed but he'd have had a much better chance at an instinct save on his line.

I can't agree with CW either thought we were pretty average but fair play to Brighton they came with a plan and carried it out. We should not be conceding 3 mins after we score we need to keep the ball for 5 minutes after going in front we didn't. We didn't deserve to win despite having more posession we didn't make enough chances or work their keeper.
If Chris wants to moan about the fans he can sit in my seat the next game sitting bang in the centre of the kop if I don't make a move on 90mins which ever direction I go it will take 15mins to get out as it is if we play 5mins extra time I still haven't made it down to near the corner flag I am always still there to clap the lads off so he can bollocks.
If it didn't take so long to get out of the kop people would still be in their seats at the end of play does he not notice after 90mins at the front of the kop fans are stood six deep.

Osborn a definite positive today - filled in seemlessly for one of our most important players.
We didn't win, but we didn't lose and we have had so many close games this season.
Can only applaud the players for continually rising to the challenge - no game is easy.

We've made 40 points by the end of Feb - I'm celebrating tonight 🍹🍺🥂

Not a lot wrong with the performance

The only criticism for me was lack of quality in a and around the box.

Chris Waddle was summarising on the game for BBC 5 live and said similar after the game. To be fair he complimented us on our performance but specifically said we didn't make Ryan do very much. He still rates Brighton as potential to go down as they offered little up top.

We didn't lose a game we could have won - we move on - shame we've got to stew 2 weeks before Norwich. Wonder how many 1st teamers will now play v Reading - fortunately Norwich also play in the cup midweek which helps.

If you’d have looked up Wilder you’d have seen me stood on South Stand clapping. But you just went down tunnel with your head darn. I think you’d got face on. Because we hadn’t won. Just like us. Because - WE ARE ALL BLADES!!

Onwards to the next game. Keep smiling. Let’s just win the next one instead.

Some nonsense in here, frankly. We played them off the park, dominated possession and territory and created 3 or 4 big chances. Billy missed one first half, Oli missed a horrible one second half and their keeper made two good saves. We should really have created more chances but our crossing and final ball let us down, but if our strikers take those chances it’s 2-1 or 3-1 and looks like a very dominant win.
