I work in this field, and there is absolutely AI reviewing cell samples and (in the case of skin cancer) images to make diagnoses right now in the NHS.

A medical professional will always check the result to be sure, but AI in the NHS is doing far more for cancer diagnosis right now than just collect data.
Yes I'd have thought image diagnostics would be a great area for it .

Yes if course it's a tool to be used ,but the advanced sciences used to develop these test come from years of dedicated lab work .
Indeed, albeit two things can be accurate simultaneously as I (.endeavoured to) suggest.
In your ‘example’ / assertion AI (obviously) requires information / data predicated upon, among other things “dedicated lab work”.
- If you read the post(s) & the attachment it is apparent that no one has suggested otherwise.
Part of the thrust of the original post was folk don’t understand how AI can be / is utilised.

There is an element here of looking to run before you can walk. The bloke who sustains you at Prem level might not have the skills to be the bloke to get you out of the Championship. Daft as that may sound.
The bloke who gets you out of the Championship, may not have skills to sustain you in the Premier League 😉

Time is of the essence now. If this isn’t sorted for a few weeks we’ll be running round like headless chickens.

Preseason will be a non event with incoming players arriving when it’s done, stacking up injuries due to lack of prep.

Targets will be missed and scooped up by rivals.

There’s a good old American term that gets thrown at anyone waffling in a meeting/presentation.

“Either have a sh!t or get off the pan”

I think it fits this situation.

Why don't get get an AI manager in

I can't speak for all the Brighton players who they've sold for millions over the years but I looked at their present squad which contains several players from lesser markets like Paraguay and the transfer fees involved were still into the many millions, in some cases over £10m. I'm not convinced that the signings we have done with AI are anywhere near their level or ever will be.
Tony Bloom took them over in 2009, and it took them until after we appointed Wilder for the first time to get to the Premier League. Do you think they were buying players for the amounts you list from day one, or using the same model that's on Bloom's laptop then as they do now, except with filters set to what they can afford then compared to what they can afford now? And, if the latter, why do you think it would be any different for us?

Not sure, got the impression he was comparing to probably the likes of Brighton and others
Well it's nice to know that Alex Brooke has a fantastic insight and knowledge of players fron Bulgaria and Peru - wouldn't have guessed it to be honest!

This is very unprofessional from the club, They need to comment on the rumours, its not fair on the fans, or Wilder, and shows this is more about business to them, than a united club.
Sounds like the decision is well and truly split…or they’re look into the exit package & replacement before they pull the trigger. Either way it’s not fair on Wilder & the players

If wilder knows he's on his way the holiday with his mate is well planned ie they'll not sack me by phone whilst I'm on hol .

All part of the game I think .

Furthermore, could fk up our pre season and essentially next season if the club doesn’t get off it’s arse pronto.

Players leaving and no Manager guidance is not good

This happens up and down the football world. The Prince didn't comment on the rumours that Wilder was being lined up to replace Hecky. Spurs didn't comment on Ange going. Boro didn't comment about Carrick going. It might be shit but it's how every club operates

If he's staying then why comment on it? You're only going raise suspicion whenever another rumour comes out and you don't comment on it.

If he's going they likely want to talk to him face to face, agree a severance package and have a new boss lined up.

Release a statement. Need a picture of a corner flag or a smiling Wilder. The statement heads or tails.

Was it fair on Hecky when rumours were circulating that Wilder was going to return and he had talks with the club before Hecky was sacked? He pretty much took over the next day where a contract had been agreed while Hecky was still in charge. F*** fairness. That's football. It's a ruthless business. Wilder would be a hypocrite to moan about this if he was dismissed.

Similar happened when wilder replaced Warnock at Boro as well did it not? Which was why Warnock had an issue with Wilder for a while

I owe a lot to Hugo Pinheiro, Mark Kerr and old Kennedy.

Regardless of your views on CW's performance last season, I think it's quite hard to make a strong case that replacing him now as we enter our final season with a big chunk of parachute payments is the most likely way of achieving promotion. I think we should probably be leaning more towards short-term thinking now and then moving to a more medium-term view if we don't get promoted.

It would need something unexpected to happen for this season not to be our best chance of promotion in the next decade and I'd rather go tried and tested in that scenario.

I also think that making this decision (whichever way they go but particularly if they sack him) in mid-June is really poor.

It’s a wild gamble. If anything you’d want greater pragmatism in the coming season. Performances completely irrelevant, we just have to get promotion.

Yep. I could be convinced to make the change then but for the championship slog? I can't think of anyone significantly better

If he is leaving, I doubt the owners would want to make a statement before they have someone else in place.
