Outgoing? Chris Wilder

I've been out of the country since two days after the play off final. I 've not read anything much on s24su whilst away but having looked at the last couple of pages to see what's happening about CW's future - I'm no further forward.

I'd be concerned if the performance of key and the highest paid employees of the club was not regularly reviewed. Do I expect a press release or statement every time it is done - no, it's an internal matter within a privately owned organisation.

How many of those clamouring for something, anything from the club regarding the manager would be happy for the outcome of their own or their employees' performance review to be made public?

Some of the demands on here and elsewhere are frankly ridiculous, unreasonable and unrealistic. If there's no news, there will be no release and should there be any news at any point, I would expect it to be communicated when the club is ready to do so. Up until then, any requests such as those claimed to have been made by the Star's super reporter / investigator will quite rightly have been either ignored or met with a "no comment!" response.

I suppose the difference with other privately owned businesses is that football clubs have tens of thousands of paying fans to appease, I get your points but there is a difference when discissions are being made in meetings because they know the fans need/want to know what's going on.

With respect I disagree BB. While fans / customers of private companies may wish to know about internal discussions, they certainly don't need to know.

As I said, should any adjustment be made for which it is deemed a communication is required, one will undoubtedly be made. Imagine the mess the club would get itself into if it related to every bit of speculation.

I know, but if I was in those meetings I would suggest we need to let our supporters know something, not everything obviously but I do feel MotS that keeping the fans on side is so important, what we decide and how we tell everyone would be a joint descission,
UTB.

If you read Cappy’s post Wilder decision is made. He’s gone. Compensation negotiation holding things up. Replacement sorted

It’s in the Current ITK League Table thread. Post 146
Yeah read it. No disrespect to cappy. Just on the hunt for other sources too.

What the fans need and want should be relayed at the appropriate time which is when decisions and all parties involved in the process have been engaged appropriately

This is a complete and utter joke. It shouldn't take the owners this long to make a decision. It's disrespectful to Wilder who's left in the dark as to where his future lies. They should've had a meeting the day after the playoff final and made a decision there and then. At this point I'm wondering if the owners have been leaking this stuff in hope that Wilder gets pissed off and resigns so they don't have to pay him the compo that comes with sacking him.

The fact that there is still no statement suggests Wilder will be leaving. Not convinced it is the right decision. Time for the new owners to step up

It suggests nothing other than that fans have an unreasonable sense of entitlement around communications.

After almost a week you would expect some statement to confirm or deny. It's making Wilder and the club look weak either way.
Not a good advert, nothing to do with entitlement

Apparently George RR Martin is moderating the talks...

What if there isn’t anything to confirm or deny yet?

I think it’s everything to do with entitlement.
