Yep I'd worked out to beginning of 2028.Three years after this season completes. Sorry to be pedantic!
Managers manage better in the last year of their contract……well that’s what some Saudi bloke once told me.Great news for the longevity of this club. That summer rebuild on a strict budget plus having a team second in the league when he started on -2 is why he fully deserves the new deal.
Having a manager with less than 6 months left on his deal going into a promotion race isn’t ideal for anyone.
What id like to see us improve on is wins in big games now. We need to step up against Leeds and Burnley, he’s got the squad for it now. No excuses
Well, if he is still here in 2028 things have gone very well.
Stability is far better for any club and managerAnother sideways move surely a rolling contract is better for the club
From now to June 2028 is 3.5 years. Two and a half years is hardly excessive..
The same twerp who said it's best to wait for reinforcements until the last day of the transfer window as the cheapest ones are left !!! FFS !!Managers manage better in the last year of their contract……well that’s what some Saudi bloke once told me.

Yeh beating off PL offers reyt left and centreHe needed tying down

As explained earlier his current deal ran out in the summer so it's actually 3 years. From now to June 2028 is 3.5 years.
We never learn do we….lose in the play offs, have a rubbish start to next season….and then he gets a payout….I’d have thought a 12 month extension would have been plenty..
Or alternatively kick on and win promotion. Without massive investment survival is unlikely whoever is in charge. We never learn do we….lose in the play offs, have a rubbish start to next season….and then he gets a payout….
Wilder wasn’t going anywhere regardless of what division we were in….totally unnecessary (see also Tom Cannon).
I did think the new owners being American would suggest they were business savvy….how wrong you can be
Is that you Rob? (From a Man City fan)Looking forward to Football Heaven: “Chris Wilder has signed a new 3 year contract, keeping him at the Lane until 2028. Should be a lot to talk about, so, Sheffield Wednesday fans, please call in and tell us exactly how long a contract YOU think Danny Rohl should get, based on his miraculous achievements.”
Football clubs are more than just a manager, having a manager that plays a certain way will allow the club to continue to invest in academy and development players and coaches which also match this styleHow are we anymore stable now Wilder has this contract?
I don’t think anyone would be surprised if he’s gone in less than a year, that’s very much a possibility if we are promoted.
There is no such thing as stability when it comes to football clubs and their managers.
Only 2 replies in from the OP and the negativity set's in.Needlessly excessive. He's likely going to get another big payout within a year or so
Some players in the January and Summer windows might not want to sign permanently if there's a chance CW could be off with having a short contract. How are we anymore stable now Wilder has this contract?

Every single player that signs for us big up Wilder as one of the main reasons they joined our brilliant football club.
