I think 'reporter' is pushing it a bit.Howson is a pig reporter. Nothing he says matters a jot.

Not a right lot you can learn from Watford other than "don't run a club like this"What boiled my piss with Wilder was him trying to claim he had learned and changed his approach since he had been gone, having seen how other clubs operate.
I don't think he learnt much at all from Boro and Watford.
Or cheri lunghi fuck the football "get the tit's out for the lads "
Settle down there Alan.
I thought I was on my own for a moment.I really hope that with this "decision"(tbc) that the board invest in creating a positive football identity, whilst also invest in growing our existing identity.
We have the framework to do it (good academy, at the heart of an amazing city etc). For me, I would prefer an average team with identity, rather than just being sheffield united in name and winning cups etc. That is just me though.
This isn't a pointed question, but what does "getting behind" mean? Given that it was quite acceptable for many to not "get behind" (as I'd define it) Wilder? We must also hope that his supporters don’t spend the next few months posting about wanting him back and, instead, get behind whoever the next manager is.
And that sort of thing doesn't really make the owners much money. Getting in to and sustaining PL places does and it's pretty obvious Wilder can not do a job in the PL despite his decent champ record. I really like Wilder, wouldn't be disappointed to see him stay but despite a liking of Wilder people must see the reason why owners and the like would want to move on from him. Theirs and the clubs sights have to be on the PL.I thought I was on my own for a moment.
I get everyone is different, and I understand that people want success (or at least when they think is best for their team) but we're never going to be Man City. We're never going to be Brighton or Brentford either which people think is an attainable target. I just want something to be proud of, something unique to us and Sheffield people. The more characters and reflection of its supporters the better for me. But, I'm a dinosaur.
Can you list his plus points - I genuinely haven't researched him. But in the face of it I can see very few redeeming characteristics? He’ll be a good appointment not sure why people are overreacting.
Well I would also argue, that its a correct business approach. Successful businesses aren't based on creating more of the same existing product, but about finding a niche. Football clubs all have the ability to have their own niche based on their location. Great example is we aren't Brighton. We can replicate some similar processes but we also have to find a way of doing it differently to attract people that want something different. People always say, London clubs have it easy because of the attraction of "London", but in that case, we need to show Sheffield as a different option. Might not be for everyone but to some it will be a great fit.I thought I was on my own for a moment.

He apparently plays a high press, aiming to get the opposition to turn the ball over in their own half, where a goal scoring opportunity can arise. He places an emphasis on conditioning (a common complaint about some of our players on here), and he generally seems to like playing attacking football. Can you list his plus points - I genuinely haven't researched him. Because apparently, hypocrisy is acceptable as long as you don't like Wilder. This isn't a pointed question, but what does "getting behind" mean? Given that it was quite acceptable for many to not "get behind" (as I'd define it) Wilder?
I’m more interested in them acting in a way the feel is in the best interests of the club, than wilder.Shocking way of doing things no announcment nothing by the owners its disgusting to treat tufty like that for all he has done A SHAM
Wait while next season. It’s not about Wilder, they’ll be queuing up gloat if United fail, reporters, Wit el accounto etc.I think the general tone on here has been far more down on Wilder than it should be based on his successes for us.
You're either very brave or very stupid.Your decision but maybe this time it should not have been moved. Its everywhere now LOL
Excellent post - spot onI think the general tone on here has been far more down on Wilder than it should be based on his successes for us.
To me it feels like Wilder gets tarred with the failures of the past few seasons despite him not being here for all of it. 20/21 is the only year where he's done a bad job and there's obviously exceptional circumstances at play there (not that it totally exempts him from criticism).
It seems to me that our failings in 23/24 contribute to the wider feeling that Wilder couldn't be successful in the premier league despite the fact that Hecky was a totally different manager and we all acknowledge how poor that summer was in terms of giving us any chance to compete. Wilder was then parachuted in to see out that campaign and as a result is stuck with some of that negative feeling despite not being responsible.
A change in style and approach may bring success but I firmly believe that Wilder's approach would have brought success as well.
It'll be interesting and exciting to see something new but I've not seen much evidence yet to suggest that these new owners are as smart as they think they are. I'll be fascinated to see what our summer looks like from here.
He’s got a point to be fair. I’ve not really seen enough to form a strong view on the owners but the way this decision has been handled looks pretty poor. Let’s hope they get the replacement right.Wilder gone and El Accountos not coming back. Live with it Daz, you’re yesterdays man.
And Adolf Witler too.Wilder gone and El Accountos not coming back. Live with it Daz, you’re yesterdays man.

I don’t disagree with your view on him…. He was an apologist for PA and the worst ever example of inappropriate communication by an owner. But I don’t think anybody can say COH have handled this well.He has no point as this was not much different to the way PA did things. He had Wilder back through the door before Hecky was on his way out. Yet Dazzler praises PA all the time.
yupI thought I was on my own for a moment.
