Incoming? Chris Mempham

Although Mepham isn't fast, for the high line aspect, he's good at most other things - an excellent CB for the level - an important player for Sunderland last season. So it'd be surprising if he ever came off our list.

Bournemouth have been selling first choice defenders this summer, so were probably in no rush to sell their backups until maybe now.

P.S. Please can we correct the spelling of his name in the title? Linz Foxy

thomas and mepham would be 2 very good signings if we could get them both and more importantly both experienced championship centre backs robbo can then piss off to wrexham then

Should also free up RND to go to QPR as well.

Assuming we get all four of them, four CB options in B Thomas, Bindon, Mepham and Zatterstrom for a back 4 is really good.

Mepham and Thomas have both been involved in promotion/playoff campaigns (Thomas with Coventry, Mepham with Bournemouth and Sunderland) which is what we need in the squad.

Plus, it would allow Sasnauskas to go out on loan this summer, and probably the same for Baptiste in January (assuming he's fit again by then).

Is there any truth in the story that we are not signing any players over 26/27 years of age???

See how old the players are we sign and then if they are under 26/27
Leave a matchstick on your right hand side
If they are over leave a matchstick on your left hand side

If any matchsticks are on your left hand side then the rumours probably not true

If we're playing a high line I'm not sure this guy would be that helpful.

This is it. We need to give Selles the right tools for the job.

I'm not against having an experienced CB in the mould of Mepham in the 4 man roster, but they can't be our plan A.
We need quick CBs that can play under pressure. Callum Doyle would be ideal as Plan A.

Even with that I personally would like more, even adding in Mee would do which would then allow us to have a safety net. Zatterstrom is a bit of an unknown entity at the moment, don't get me wrong he could be brilliant but will take time to adapt in a country he isn't used to and at leaving his academy club behind. Bindon, definitely needs the experience to play alongside but probably can do the 90 minutes required allowing a rotation where needed. Thomas and Mepham would be first choices if we got them but seems uncertain at the moment.

Last season we signed Souttar instead. This season Tanganga. I'd rather Tanganga myself and Souttar before.

Also Albion are gambling again I see unless they're going to make a late sale.

Probably the money they got for Heggem about 2 weeks ago, about £10m they sold him to Bologna for.

But if they are due a late sale, it will likely be Tom Fellows (RW) whose meant to have had quite a bit of interest this summer.
