It is pretty amazing really, I agree. If they are being funded until they have a new stadium, that could be at least three years. That must be the thick end of £20m.

They reckon £3M per annum (extract from Guardian article below)

"Seppala explained to the Guardian that Sisu's investment was made using private equity and hedge funds. The Arvo Master Fund, registered in Grand Cayman, now providing money to fund losses at Northampton which Sisu has projected as £3m a year, is a hedge fund. Seppala would not name any investors, but said they are European and Asian pension funds, and American universities' endowment funds. Most hedge funds, she said, are "domiciled" in tax havens like the Cayman Islands because it means they avoid paying capital gains tax."

Keith Edwards
Colin Morris
Paul Stancliffe

In their primes

A young Sol Campbell, Peter Beardsley and Alan Shearer.

Where you find the De Lorean, flux capacitor and plutonium to complete this mission is your business.

Jed Wallace
Nahki Wells
Britt Assombalonga

This is the best list so far and would be a test of the Prince. Add James Wallace to the list who is at Tranmere and just come back from a serious injury. Went through the Academy at Evertonwith Baxter and would improve our engine .

Connor Goldson - Quick, young centre back to replace Collins
Dean Cox/Alan Judge - Proven players at this level, create and score goals
Leon Clarke - Better strikers (Wells, Wilson etc) have been mentioned but I think Clarke is the only one big enough to play the Porter Role but better

I must say I rated billy Clarke when he came on loan, I think he's at Crawley.
Luke freeman from Stevenage, always performed against united, would inject so creativity into our midfield.
John brayford on loan if possible, living near derby I know a lot of derby fans, all seem to agree he'd be a tremendous signing at this level

I think the sacking of Mackay will stop or at least hold up the loan of Brayford.

I will be very suprised if we make 3 more signings in Jan as Jim Phipps has already stated in the past that we have changed the squad around too much.

I reckon we will see more shown the door rather than any incoming.

If we do sign players then they 100% have to improve the shite we already have. Please no more loanees of the ilk of Lappin, White etc.

I would go for:-

Wilson (COV)
Trotta (Fulham currently on loan at Brentford till Jan)
And a commanding CB as competition for Harry/Collins

We also need a LB as well. Is it just us who cannot for the love of god have a decent LB?

I reckon our signings come the end of the window will be something along the lines of

Aidy White, loan or possibly sign him permanently
Conor Coady deal extended
Mark O'Brien, loan from Derby as cover for the centre halfs

hopefully a striker too, who though i have nay idea. Ideally (and realistically) somebody like Leon Clarke, Stevie May, Johnny Russell

I'd raid Bristol City for Greg Cunningham and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and see whether Brentford wanted to sell Toumani Diagouraga.

I fully agree with everyone who's said we need a new centre half but I see left back, central midfield and up front as bigger problems. In any case, we've got Aaron Barry coming back and Matt Hill has always looked more comfortable in the middle of the back four.

Matt Kilgallon only played 7 times for Blackburn this season. Leon Best also hasn't featured much for Blackburn and Jamie Ohara although his wage demands may be too excessive.

My Bradford mate commented on facebook that Nakhi Wells was taken off early in their game against Swindon fuelling a a transfer rumour. Can't see him going for less then £1million myself.

I hereby declare my gross ignorance but I have never heard of:

Connor Goldson
Jed Wallace
Mark O'Brien
Stevie May

Greg Cunningham rings a vague bell - did he play up front for Barnsley and The Pigs?

Help!

Cody Mcdonald from gillingham seems to be getting on the scoresheet.
Id see what we could do with Connor Coady from liverpool(longer term loan perhaps).
Nakhi Wells would be an ideal choice for this league-as we have to buy this best from this division to compete imo.

He's a left back that came through Man City's academy. He's ok, nothing special imo.

I wouldn't want anyone from Bristol City they have a lot of overrated players, hence their league position. Someone on here mentioned Sam Baldock and I promptly asked my Bristol City supporting mate about him having heard good things before.....he says he doesn't understand where his rep comes from and how he ever played in Prem. Says he's massively over hyped.

Even with our apparent new found wealth I imagine Wells is beyond us, though I'd like to be wrong on that.
