.... to bring in during the JTW to improve the squad.

They can be as realistic or not as you like in terms of fee and wages.

ronaldo, suarez, bale! get yer cash arhht prince.

seriously tho.... a couple o strikers, a new cm controller to replace doye, and a new rb to replace mcmoron.

A striker who is both mobile and strong, can move defenders about and score goals. Hardly common in this league I grant you, I can't think beyond Clayton Donaldson. Not realistic at all I'm afraid. Either of the Coventry lads I'd be delighted with too.

It's a crying shame that while we have two dozen left backs on the books, we only have one good one (Hill) and the situation is similar with wingers. We have loads of the buggers but no good ones so I'd like Alan Judge who's been linked although I'm not as confident as some we'll get him. I'd like to see at least two of Flynn, Murphy, Brandy and Cuvelier shipped out in this case, though.

Finally, someone in the middle of the park who can do Doyle's job, someone a few years younger, who can cover the ground and keep the game ticking over, Like McCall used to do. Can't think of anyone who might fit the bill, ideas anyone?

clayton donaldson? int he the one who got put up wi ched.

When is Ched out o prison anyway? i'd have him back all day.

No, that's Clayton Macdonald (who was acquitted). Funnily enough I accidentally put 'MacDonald' first but quickly edited my post. Donaldson is a striker at Brentford.

A centre half to put some pressure on Collins/Maguire

A holding midfielder who can get box to box.

A pair of strikers who can hold the ball up, create chances and sniff out half chances. Its a shambles we have got up front at the minute.

Fast fullback that can cross- the lad at Cardiff sounds good from what Clough said, Brayford
Fast centre half - killgallon style
Big mobile striker in the hulse/ bt mould

That kid at Cov we were linked with

James Hanson

October next year. Dont think people have any problem with his ability and i think he would score shitloads with Jose Baxter pulling the strings for him.

The issue is his conviction. I still think it was dodgy and he wasnt guilty of rape but plenty of other people do.

Macheda - Manure if fit or Jermaine Beckford
Semedo - Pigs (they're skint)
Larnell Cole - Manure attaking central midfielder who can play wide

Paul Scholes on an 18-month contract.

More realistically, a Nicky Marker-type midfielder and a striker who actually threatens to score goals. They do exist.

Coventry's front two for me, plus one of Judge or a decent centre half.

I've no clue how Coventry remain operating as a business. Realistically they should be ripe for the picking by solvent clubs, but somehow carry on as normal.

I'd take their strike force in the blink of an eye. And given one them is Leon Clarke, that's rather telling.

Their owners have said they will keep Coventry afloat with Equity injections until they build their own stadium.

This is perfectly "legal" under SCMP if unbelievably expensive (ie it is real money they will have to put in, not loans). However, seeing as this hedge fund seems to be as dodgy as fuck, I would love to see their SCMP submission (which all clubs should now have completed ahead of the JTW).

The truth is that the Football League are as weak as fuck and will probably turn a blind eye as they did over their Golden Share fiasco.

Out of reach in all probability, but here are my three options;

The young lad from Chelsea currently on loan at MKD - Bamford. Get him this summer when the loan ends.

I quite like the look of that Tomlin bloke from Peterborough, who has been transfer listed before, although he may be a bit like Baxter / play a similar role?

I would look for players in the premiership / top championship teams, who are out of favour, or are hungry to resurrect a career now on hold. The likes of say, Becchio at Norwich (Ex Leeds), or maybe Phillips from Crystal Palace to the end of the season. I am sure there are others like this. Research and thought required.

The Sheikh will need to be ready with his cheque book, as players come and go to the top teams in January, others become available.

Realistically:

Clarke
Dicko (or Wilson)
Judge

Edit: Can we smuggle in a centre-back as well. Collins is really struggling. I think the headband was made of green Kryptonite.

It is pretty amazing really, I agree. If they are being funded until they have a new stadium, that could be at least three years. That must be the thick end of £20m.
