Think that was in the 1-1 draw v Millwall on 3 May 77. There's a pic of him skying it in the following programme.I once caught the ball in the BLUT when I was about 10 years old. It was a Chico Hamilton penalty. Lovely man though.
Ahhh really sorry to hear this. I worked with Chico on one of those playschemes in easter 1993- based at broomhill primary & king teds. His energy was incredible & he was great with the kids. His lovely partner Di was there too. That was my 1st step on the road to becoming a teacher (gawd help me!) it’s possible we met Linz at this time as I was in & out of the union around that time doing odd bits of paid work.I met Chico in what we'll generously call a professional capacity as he used to run the University holiday play scheme and would nip by the students' union to be paid his expenses or query his wages.
Absolute fruitcake and from what we understand, the kids loved him.

Anyone know how he got the name Chico ?
I remember it well. I think he hit the clock with another but maybe that's just my puddled memory.I once caught the ball in the BLUT when I was about 10 years old. It was a Chico Hamilton penalty. Lovely man though.
