Che Adams :- submarine

So if I happen to bump into him in public should I point and snigger or not? Its just this whole tread is confusing and I'm a bit slow.

I hate not knowing what to do.

The one fecking signing out of 30/40 odd that useless bastard egotistical cunt Clough made that was worth anything at all,
Yet Adams attitude was utter pants.

And before the NC fan boys get their mouths full of Clough's semen and mention Coutts and Freeman; both are just as unrecognisable players as Adams then and now.

What a distance we have come from those hapless times.
Thanks a trillion Tufty.

Watching him v West Brom.

What an absolutely shit footballer he is, really terrible.

And we got a mil for him!

He's not kicked on as a player, whether that's due to external issues or lack of application, i don't know. He also seemed to overly bulk up during the latter stages of his BDTBL career. I also know that he's not the most popular among us Blade's, but he had the potential to be a very good player. He also had the 'knack' of being in the right place at the right time, which you can't teach. He was a good example of the modern wide forward type player.

When he played against us at the back end of last season he played centre mid and was quite decent and had a disciplined performance.

He looked pretty average tonight though.

Wouldn't get anywhere near our team - glad we got rid, him and CW would have had a bust up.

UTB

To be fair to him he lasted 7 minutes beyond his usual 65 minute maximum so tonight was an outstanding night for him.

Depends what you mean by “bulk up”. There’s a difference between Tobey Maguire bulking up to play Spider Man and me bulking up off beer and pies.

Not sure why people slag Adams off , Shame we sold him could have been quality under Wilder , hes done well not great at brum but well enough for teams in the prem supposedly to be after him.

Good player still got plenty of time to kick on if he can learn to finish

He looked overly muscular to my eyes. If my memory serves me correctly, we played Newcastle in a pre-season friendly/morgan’s Testimonial, and I can remember thinking that he’d visibly changed in the 3 months since I’d last seen him, and I think it took a bit of ‘something’ off of him. I know that a strong core is important, but I think a player can have too big an upper body. I think the same about lundstram & JOC at the moment, and thought the same about BS last season. Regards, CE I don’t know whether it was a conscious effort for him put on muscle iniatated by the club, him naturally filling out or whether it was him dusting off the charles atlas chest expanders pre two weeks in Marbs. As I said, I know he’s as JEC on here, but prior to Brooks, he was the last player to get me off of my seat. The spurs 2nd leg sticks in my mind for both him and Louis R.

I’ve got to go to Super Lincoln tomorrow for my daughters’s Netball. I’ll try and avoid Spice Central.
This is the weekend when 10,000 parents drive to Lincoln to deposit a student. Traffic jams all weekend.

Strange how when we sell our talents with big potential fans mention Walker and Maguire

But never mention Curtis Woodhouse, Lee Morris, Jordan Slew and of course Che Adams. At the time many fans criticised the board with many adamant that Woodhouse, Morris, Slew and Adams would be be stars in the top flight.

I always say that players with huge potential are risks for the buying and selling club.
No one knows how their careers will pan out, also the choice of club is so important and the timeline of development.

Jordan Slew must wonder what might have happened if he’d stayed, he received a huge pay rise when he left but his career has gone down the pan ever since. If Maguire had stayed with SU he probably wouldn’t have developed as well and may now be an average Championship defender.

Many on this forum were convinced that Adams would be an England player, so we sold him too cheap but it seems that Adams can be put in the big group of young players with massive talent who hardly progress once they’ve gained a decent contract.

Under the right manager, I’m pretty sure you’d see a decent player.

He’s still a twat though, apparently! :)

I went further round the A46 and came back on myself down Newark Road (we’re at Priory Witham) and it wasn’t too bad. Doddington Road was its usual nightmare apparently.

I think I found your secret Gentlemen’s Club location on a bench in BoulthamPark. Special Brews all round!

About half a mile from where I grew up that photo. I’m sure the same blokes were there then!

Southampton have bid £8m for him with up to 12 other Premier league clubs interested.

Daily Mirror.

Is this why they are keen to let Austin leave. This might be further along than we think blades, show me the money!
