Here's the place for all your discussion for our match against Charlton.... the penultimate away match of the season. (That's second to last for all you cretins... ;))

Just as a little heads up...

"On Saturday 21st April when we play Charlton, the capital could be a bit of a nightmare supporter wise. I dont think it will affect anyone who goes on the coaches but for anyone you know going by train they might want to just watch their backs".

"In a nutshell, the other supporters in the city include, Cardiff at QPR, Everton at West Ham, Blackburn at Fulham, Leeds maybe be travelling through stopping at Kings Cross en route to Southampton. It is also the Arsenal v Spurs match KO 12.45 and if that's not enough, there is talk of a large National Front demo in Bermondsy to celebrate St Georges day"

It's also the London Marathon on Sunday so there will be loads more people in the capital this weekend anyway!

Just what the travelling supporter needs to contend with. Lots of pissed-up hooligans, hordes of dipsticks trying their lycra/running vests/expensive trainers/rhinoceros costumes/giant bloody banana outfits on, and a load of fucking Nazis, goose-stepping around and sieg heiling all the time.

Or being dragged round B & Q looking at kitchens, bathrooms and garden furniture. I think I'd rather have a punch-up with the rhinoceros bloke.

sounds dun

Enough about our travelling fans, what about all the other people who are gonna be down there?! :D

One word which is in my mind right now.... and that's Shelton and also the amount of damage he's going to cause at the Valley if he plays like he did tonight. :D

Definitley Shelton should start after that performance looked great

I agree that Shelton looked the business last night and i'm sure his performance has given Neil some food for thought ahead of the game against Charlton this weekend.

The fact that he almost completed the full 90 minutes and, in my opinion, tired badly after the penalty decision went against him would suggest he will be on the bench.

Either way, the early signs are good for a player whom many had already added to the 'waste of money' list.

Should be a good game, The only thing im worried about is Pards playing Benty up front on his own and your defenders will batter himk
if he is on his own, Hasselbaink needs to start.

My predictions for the game tomorrow are as follows

Team:
Kenny
Geary
Morgan
Jagielka
Kilgallon
CKR
Tonge
Monty
Keef
Nade
Stead

Bench:
Shelton
Webber
Fathi
Davis
A.Quinn

Score:
2-2

Blood pressure levels:
Fatal

thats my team should keep shelton in team if he plays anything like he did against man united we shuld beat these anyday of week... i think we'll beat them 2 -0 want monty to score a goal aswell would be great

Team:
Kenny
Geary
Morgan
Jagielka
Kilgallon
CKR
Tonge
Monty
Keef
shelton
Stead

After several decent performances against the MU Rowdies, my team would be this one -

Paddy

Geary, Jags, Morgan, Killa

Keef, Monty, Tonge, CKR

Shelton, Stead (Nade if Stead unfit)

Bench
Nade/Stead
S. Quinn
Davis
Fathi
Armstrong
Webber

i think shleton has to paly after his mid week display,he was a class above everyone on the pitch that night well almost id only say a couple performed better, also charlton wont have seen too muh of him.looks a class player if the other night is anything to go by

Very good, but quite scary (As it very rarely happens) that we have Strikers that have good Pace, Touch and Vision and (I know some are a bit raw at the moment) can finish. Hulse, Stead, Nade, CKR & Shelton.
Hope we don't repeat history and sell the best ones for peanuts, doubt we will with this board of directors, which is good.

Shelton played very well against Man Utd but i thought he tired in the final third of the game and so i wouldn't expect him to start tomorrow.

I also think that Nade's improvement over recent games should keep him in the side, Shelton can do the damage from the bench as and when it is required.

i feel nade is a much better player coming off the bench he mixes things up and defences never know what to expect because he can run with the ball and can also hold up and pick out a good pass.

He's an unpredicatble quantity at the moment which needs to be sorted out.
Against West Ham when he started he was brilliant and he looked a threat against Newcastle when he came on.
He's worth starting due to the fact he can bully push and generally scare defences to death with his pure strength and he has very good close control to go with it.
Get him up front with Stead, then bring Shelton on after an hour.
Charltons defence won't have a minute to relax and will make mistakes against those 3.

Big day at the valley

Hey,

Good luck on Saturday! My team are away at Bradford at a similarly important relegation battle! :)

There is a good article on the sportingo.com website about the big game at the valley on Saturday (you will find it under football and then premiership
