Anyone have any recommendations for pubs near the ground? Are any home fans only?

When was the last time Charlton did the double over us?

This is definitely a game we should be looking to win, they have 4pts from 15 at home and surely can't do the double over us , 2 up front and go for it Wilder

Can one of the esteemed historians on here help me?
I remember once going to see us play Charlton away but I think it was when they were playing at Palace's ground.
Or was it the other way round?
Think it was the late 70s or 80s.
Been to the Valley since but can't recall the earlier visit clearly

1985-6. We lost 2-0. Charlton’s first season at Selhurst Park. They got promoted.

We also played them in the Cup when they were at Upton Park in 1991-2.

think weve no choice but to go for it every game home and away their no great shakes at home and its a game weve every chance of getting the 3 points 2 strikers please and bamford on from kick off personally i would give cannon a run out today campbell and ings doing nothing of late

I remember going to that one. It was a Sunday if I remember rightly, before Sunday games became the norm. I think West Ham might have been home on the Saturday? I was shouting Hughie down the big white telephone before we set off, after a night drinking Owd Roger in Eckington (the beer missus, the beer!). Thankfully, I wasn't driving. All that for a dull 0-0. We beat them at the Lane in the replay, 2-0 I think.

Last time I went to the Valley we won 5-2,Gary Speed scored one of them,it’s a great away day👏

It was indeed a Sunday. 4th round. Absolutely nothing of interest happened in the game. We won the replay 3-1.

That midfield will get dominated unfortunately, 1-0 Charlton I think

All the speculation about Hamer not being in the squad.......they got the wrong Dutchman.
