Championship

Been reading this forum for years but only commented on here for a few weeks now, my justification for negative posts which you refer to are due to our piss poor plight to our current season. So glad we won today but even the most positive happy clapper can't have enjoyed that performance, we will struggle next season in the championship and if you can't see that then the "deluded" post applies to you
It’s far too soon to be predicting how well we’ll do in the Championship next year. It’s like predicting that next year Chelsea are going to do well in the Premier League. It’s just a stupid, pointless thing to say because so much will change.

So you been on here years and decided now is the time to start posting utter shit posts? Nice one

In your opinion I guess yes you feel that you are correct, but in the real world you must at some point take off the rose tinted specs and decide if you pint pot is half full or otherwise. We will go down and how the club and players respond is the lap of the gods, we said the same in 2008 and look what happened.

Why is that then? because I don't live on here and comment on every single post. Get a life son
First of all I was only translating for you.

Anyway your OP is basically pointless. Why would you call someone deluded for saying we will walk the championship next season (even though no one has said that on here) and then come up with a prediction that other fans can call you deluded.

What makes you think we will struggle if we are in the championship next year?

i think we will do well in the championship with and fancy us strongly for top 6 at the least

Although no one has explicitly said we will walk the Championship, it has certainly been insinuated that we'd be almost guaranteed to be one of the front runners which may not necessarily be the case.

Planning for next season will be important. We have to get the squad right and who knows if there will be a hangover depending on the circumstances in which we are relegated.

I dont think we will do a Sunderland like I have seen suggested (admittedly in the heat of the moment after defeats) however I wouldn't be surprised if we had something of a transitional season (thats not to say I think that's what will happen btw)

I think it's far too early to make predictions about next season. We certainly have more than enough ability in the squad to mount a promotion charge but it's down to CWAK to build a squad around that with the motivation to pick themselves up and have a crack at bouncing back.

No need to translate for me as I read loud and clear. My op is not pointless as it is my opinion and if anyone disagrees then in my opinion I feel that they are deluded. We will struggle in the championship when we go down (in my opinion) as we have the losing mentality, and if you look historically with teams far better than ours (in my opinion) have struggled to get the winning feeling back and go on to win promotion. Look at villa far better relegated squad than ours and got back by their skin or their teeth last year and would have been ruined otherwise. Its such a fine line like back in 2008 when we apparently had the squad to to bounce straight back, but we went down on goal difference and fought until the end. We will see what pans out and hope we can at least put up a fight until the inevitable arrives.

If you read many posts on here and elsewhere there are many, many who think so, or at least, suggest it would not be difficult.
Far too many.
Far too difficult.

I'm not sure I agree. There is a difference between saying that we will definitely bounce straight back up (which obviously no one can know certain) and believing that we'd be well placed to challenge for promotion.

It's not arrogance or delusion to state that we would be well placed to challenge. We would be.

Do you do party bookings?🤡

It is arrogance and the same we had back in 2008 albeit with a better side than we have now

Those who think..........don’t usually post such utter shite

Some people must be manic depressives or something. God help the people that know them in real life. It isn't enough for some people to live through a shit season with us breaking records no one wants to break, they have to project into the future and wallow in the misery of already doing badly in a season we haven't started yet. Two shit seasons for the price of one. The way some people collapse in a heap as soon as life doesn't go their way is really quite astonishing.
Personally, if we go down - and I've not given up on this season yet - I'm looking forward to a lot of posters crawling back under the seemingly very numerous dank, slimy rocks they crawled out from.

Glad there’re some with sense and calmness around. Got to agree plenty were insinuating with the squad we have the championship would be happy to have us at the top of the table. This though was a fall back argument for posters to use when justifying why wilder should not be sacked. On the other hand throwing around words like “Sunderland“ is just as extreme, I would wager we have more chance finishing mid table or having a transitional season like BettingBlade says than pissing it or being relegated because we can’t cope with the pain of not being in the premier league.

We haven’t got a clue what’s going to happen next week at the moment. So let’s just wait and see what happens when we’re closer to crossing a bridge that is still under construction.

Do you have a brain?

Do the rocks have to be slimy?

I know one club that have been trying for 20 years, but you’d know that

I hope you’re right.
But if we carry on like this we may find it too difficult to come back from and turn things round anytime soon.
Next season or later.
