Dean Henderson and Dwight Gayle please. Alex Pritchard as well please. Technically a Championship player now, in fact all three technically are.

Those three are top of my wanted list. Wilder’s might be very different and he knows best.

As far as United are concerned there is no European Continent, it doesn't exist, and South America may as well be a region on the west side of Jupiter, so we will always have to either pay over the odds for players already playing in England or we'll have to find bargains that nobody else has noticed. I find it very strange that one of the first clubs to bring a South American to play in this country has absolutely zero links to foreign talent.

That may have had more to do with Wilder and Knills experience in the game which previously was with clubs that didn't have the resources to scout internationally.
Football is brutal when it comes to management turnover, succeed quickly or out you go, so they went with what they knew and that would be mainly the British game.

There's also the fact that foreign players and managers have become fashionable, clubs with money will buy in foreign proven players rather than spend time developing their own. This means that there are a few good British and Irish players that slip through the net and we've been able to take advantage.

No doubt now we're up there we'll broaden our outlook.

That's my take on it, but of course I might be wrong, and it's because we is racist

I wouldn't want Dwight Gayle, he's a cheat and overrated plus he is symptomatic of the poor attitude that cost darren Moore his job

Yes we're racist a Spanish newspaper said so. We're racist because we don't sign foreign players
This is from a Country that allows Athletic Bilbao to only sign Basque players

You do know that I was joking don't you?

In fairness to Athletic Bilbao their policy is no different to what Yorkshire Cricket used to have and is actually a disadvantage to them.

Yes, I know you were joking, just reminding everyone that it's not just the English media that get on our case whenever possible

I'd go to West Bromwich Albion and ask for a package deal on Gayle, Phillips and Gibbs.
Gayle and Gibbs would work in our system and Phillips is something a bit different and direct.
Also, Hector is looking pretty solid at times for dem Pigs so he could come in as Egan's deputy.
All the rest are wank.

Wouldn't touch Pritchard with a barge poll personally. He won't pass the Wilder personality test.

hector can't pass wind and Gayle is exactly the kind of douchebag we don't need

Why do you not want him?
He’s looked very good at villa in my opinion and you’d think would be available given he’s been allowed out on loan.
Thug, simple as.

Allegedly £20m is our entire transfer budget in the summer (for transfer fees), and having signed Krul, Pukki and Zimmermann on free transfers, Buenda and Leitner for £1.5m each, and Vrancic for £600k..... and having watched Fulham spend £100m on going backwards... I'm perfectly happy with that.

Last summer we had to raise £30m in transfer fees to keep ourselves out of administration (our Sporting director has just told us that).

We've got to pay a £10m bonus to players, £5m back to fans who bought £5m worth of bonds to keep our Category 1 status a year ago (clause which says repaid in one go upon promotion), and repay an overdraft which I think stood at £8m at some point this season....

..... and in the knowledge that you actually get the TV money in two installments so get half of it in January (little known fact), I'll trust Webber and Farke.

Suspect none of you or I will have heard of whoever we sign this summer. In fact I doubt we'll sign anymore than 4 players anyway.

Why bother fostering this great team spirit only to wreck it by having an overhaul and releasing big characters from the squad.

Personally I think we'll be doing our business on the continent again and be targeting players in the German, Spanish and French leagues.

Why spend £20m on Jarrod Bowen when you can find a Buendia from the Spanish second tier for £1.5m.

Or why spend £40m on Jack Grealish when Leicester signed Mahrez from the French second tier.

Not sure why we'd suddenly abandon our transfer policy and put our financial stability in jeopardy again start over paying for players from mid-table Championship side or Premier League squad players like Naismith who almost crippled us.

We've already owned Canos anyway.... was in a big hump because he didn't go straight in the side at 19 so we flogged him to Brentford within a few months of buying him from Liverpool. So good luck with that one, wouldn't fit into our ethos with that attitude. Plus he's always blowing at 60 or 70 minutes and being hauled off by Brentford for running out of gas.

for every mahrez there are a hundred nondescripts. BHA, WBA and huddersfield are snided with them

dwight gale? that diving bastard that sent toytown down? nah bollocks to that

No nobheads, no perennial Premier League loaners who have a name you've heard of but offer little.

Hungry, been about and suffered a bit of adversity/ better than the team they're currently in types in their 20's is what we should be going for.

Think we should look at the Championship mainly, the staff know it well and no doubt often say to each other "I bet he'd be great in our system" now they have the chance to try and entice them with Premier League football.

And if we sign Joe Fucking Hart I'll immolate myself in the car park.

Unfortunately too many of these suggestions would be 15-20m players and I don't see us spending that much - nor want us to. At PL level it's going to be difficult for us to repeat our successes unearthing British gems, and I'd love to see our scouting network looking a bit further afield.
That's probably going to be the initial biggest outlay, getting all our scouts passports! Think Watford, their recruitment is exceptional, players bought for <£10 m who's sell on value exceeds >£30- 40m, not that you'd want to sell, unless some stupid fuker comes along and pays £80m for Richardison for example.

I think we should get our tin hats on. Given our likely budget, against the budget of the lower premiership sides then those being deemed as unlikely to pass Wilders test are exactly who were likely to sign.
If they don’t have question marks around them, were unlikely to be in the driving seat for most of them.
Personally I’m happy with that as CWAK have already proven they’ve a pretty good success rate from the thrift shop.

Gayle is a Newcastle player so ain’t gonna happen in your package deal. Don’t want that prick anyway

One thing to remember, not to follow Fulham's example and make wholesale changes.

We need to take the core of the players we've used this year, but Tufty is going to be a really busy boy I think.

Baldock, Stevens, Egan, Basham, Cranie, JOC, Fleck, Norwood, Duffy, Sharp, McGoldrick - that's the 11 core

Henderson if we can keep him.

Madine?, Dowell?, Hogan? maybe for all three. We might keep 1 or 2 of those

Lundstram, Stearman, Freeman Are they prem class?

I'd keep Coutts if he wants to stay but I assume Washington and Johnson won't be going up with us.

Ultimately, we'll probably start next season with 14 or 15 of this seasons squad so we'll need to sign 8 or 9 players at least this summer.

Ones that I see which would potentially fit our price range and fit the team would be mcburie and freeman.

Think we have to remember that stupid fees are still going to be demanded so a top championship player is still likely to set you back 10m plus. We would have demanded that for the likes of JoC

My thoughts are go steady like we did on promotion to league one, trust wilder to build sensibly and supplement it with some decent loan players.

Also I rate that biling from Huddersfield. Always looked classy when I’ve seen him play and like he could fit into our midfield
