we should have a 90th celebration party , a big piss up as though it was only last week

Wednesday fans have been celebrating a 4-0 win in div 3 for 36 years so theres a precedent

It strikes me from the film that back then a crowd decked out in trilbies was the equivalent of fans standing up in front of you even though they've paid for a seat.

It would have been only polite for the crowd to take their hats off and then everyone (nearly) would have been able to see the game. Weren't cloth caps in fashion in the mid-1920s. I always wear the latter purely in order not to block the view of the bloke behind me and not to distract his view of the game by the glare of reflected light from my expanding tonsure.

Would that everyone was as holy as me.;)
