Reports from Nixon in the Sun that CW is pressing Spurs for a decision on CCV . CW is keen to keep him for the second half of the season but there are fears he could be recalled.

CW needs a quick answer and if he loses the 19 yr old, he has pencilled in a swoop for Brentford skipper John Egan
 

Can’t see why they’d say no unless they’re very short.

I’d be delighted if I were Spurs. He’s getting a game at the top of the championship, settled and playing well. He’ll learn much more there than sat on his aris waiting for several injuries in North London.

Bit biased, obviously.
 
I can't see him getting in Spurs team.

Maybe they're holding out because they think another Championship team will pay a big fee for his services

And given his performances so far, he deserves to play. A few mistakes here and there which you'd expect from a 19 year old, but there is a top player in CCV and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a Spurs regular in two years. If we could sign him permanently that would be a huge coup, but presently unlikely.

Never ceases to amaze or impress me when a player is clearly giving his all for a team he’s on loan at. CW seems to get the right ones in. They come from a higher level but there’s no aids and graces. They get stuck in and play their hearts out.

Must be a great group to be part of.
 
Nixon is (presumably) a pig fan as he posts on PortTalk. He also knows fuck all, like a high profile version of magic mike and the fat Spanish waiter. Fuck him.

Read the odd post from him but under the impression the poster had just highjacked the username, thinking he's just a pig called Nick. Also, didn't think the content of the posts reflected Alan Nixon

Would be a blow to lose Carter-Vickers, he's been excellent, easy to forget he's only 19.

Maybe we could up with an amusing song to keep him, with Christmas coming we could change the lyrics to say...Last Christmas, by Wham :rolleyes:

I'd love to know whether we actually went back for EEL? I got the impression we didn't but maybe we did and Wolves didn't want him going to another rival in the Championship, but pre-season, we were hardly expected to be up there like we are!

No he was rubbish after he signed his deal with Wolves, I read on here.
 
If Carter Vickers is recalled by Spurs the over riding quality to look for in loaning a centre half is to get one with a double barrel surname as it's worked out well for us these last two seasons.
......I have no clue if there are any candidates out there though.
