Cause for celebration

I’m a glass half-empty guy where football is concerned (well, about three-quarters empty really), but I celebrated the 25 points reached with several full glasses this weekend. Halfway to avoiding relegation early October is something to celebrate. Next target - avoid relegation by early January, and then we can really go for it. I am almost convinced that even Utd won’t manage to find a way of getting relegated this year, so we can now begin to enjoy the ride. Seasons like this have been few and far between in recent years. Enjoy!

No, it’s looking very positive and we’ve got more depth to the squad this season. I’m an optimist but I felt we’d struggle this season after the Lord Mayor’s Parade that was last season. But Wilder has recruited well and he’s still got some spendo for Jan too, which is handy! I’m pretty sure he’ll go again in the transfer market if we stay in or around the top 6.

That's a bit optimistic. I'd say it's saved us from the National League North until 2024.

I’m celebrating the fact we look like we’re in with a real chance of a playoff spot, but if they do miss out, that’s ok.

Some people won't understand that supporters of a certain age have developed an inbuilt cautious view regarding the Blades , as over the years there has been no club quite like ours for building you up & then knocking you down with a bang! But I am more hopeful this time than I have been for a while that we are getting it right, Let's just enjoy the ride.
