The hatred people have for The Prince based on what's actually happened so far is baffling. I can totally understand worrying about what his intentions may be but the genuine anger people are showing towards him is completely illogical based on his actual actions so far.
It's not baffling when you remember he's not one of our own/from round these parts 👀

Prince allowed the biggest war chest this club had ever seen to try and improve the team and look at what we have ended up with. The most out of its depth blades team of all time. I'm not sure how this is the Prince's fault.

If he was chasing the money he could have made an easy 100 mill by selling us last season.

How we recover from this season is the true test of the prince.

Jeez this stuff is depressing. On one hand we want to have ambition, look forwards and upwards, and strive to be a consistent PL club, and on the other hand any owner has to know the name of a fullback from 70 years ago, he has to have been born and still live on Lancing Road, S2, and know the recipe for Henderson's Relish backwards before some fans will entertain them at the helm at all.
Stop it with all this local football for local people bollocks. Those days are GONE!

Unfit for ownership because you don't know who Cec Coldwell is? I bet half the fans under 25 wouldn't have a clue, so why should Prince Charmin ? (see what I did there?)

Cec Coldwell "Whats Sheffield Uniteds telephone number 505051" Heady days. One for the older generation :)

When we decide to go purchasing other clubs. This is just a business for the Prince he has no connection to this club which is why he’s used our Premier League money to acquire the other clubs with no benefit to ourselves what so ever.
That sounds like a guess with no facts to back it up.
Has any money that has gone into the club beenused for anything other than club activities ?

If thats the case just follow Man city or someone. This clubs traditions ,good and bad are why I love Utd.

Man City and Chelseas traditions haven't disappeared though have they ?

They never do, and they never will, in fact they've become stronger.

It's just our brainwashed backward thick moronic fans that think success comes at a cost of selling out

So what ?
Why is it that the fans of only one football club on the planet waffle this sort of romantic bollocks ?

We've had our local two Bob millionairres waffling this bollocks and running the club for generations, and pound for pound this club is the least succesful club in world football.

They all knew about Tony Currie and God knows who else, and they all knew how to manipulate a fanbase into believing failure was actually a good thing because the clubs traditions are all about failure, and they loved to preserve traditions.

They all knew how to spin failure into something positive because they'd already worked tirelessly to brainwash our fans into accepting it.

Fuck the clubs traditions, especially this clubs traditions.

This clubs traditions stink to high heaven, they wreak of small time, punching below our weight pathetic failure, that has been allowed to carry on for the last 50 or 60 years, held back by the local two Bob millionaires, whilst other traditionally smaller clubs left our club standing about with a thumb up its arse.

The Prince might not be the richest, but he's different to what we've had before, and if he can get rid of the chip butty, fourth class citizen culture that plagues this club he'll have done at least one good thing.

And on a seperate issue McCabe is the guy who started "United world" by buying or linking clubs in the footballing hotbeds of China and Hungary
😂

Until he bought into our club for a quid I doubt that the Prince knew United existed
Now he has added us to his portfolio of clubs and is said to be skint
I wish that we had an Owner whose sole sporting interest was the Blades
What is it that attracts foreigners to our clubs? Do they have the best interest of the club at heart, or is thee another reason that escapes me?
How do you know he's skint? You want us to be brexit blades forever?

Unbelievable how many games did he play, how long did he coach for there should be a statue in the car park instead we have a ex Sheffield Wednesday player and manager what a joke

Let's get McCabe back after all there is no bigger blade, you know the same bloke who wouldn't finance the players needed to get into the Premier League to start with. My god some of our fans do talk out of their arseholes. Chengdu, White Star, Ferencvaros and there is a few more, ring any bells?
I'm sure when we got back in the Premier league McCabe was in charge Fact so how's that talking out of a arsehole

Yes. You can't just take money out of business accounts and do what you want with it without it being recorded.

People like this?

You aren’t going to get anywhere with someone who hasn’t got a clue.

I sometimes think I'm the only one here who never bought into the one-of-own culture of the last few years. For me it was a nice story, and nothing else, but it was also doomed to end in recriminations one way or another - either Wilder would depart for a better position elsewhere, or he'd be sacked, though even I didn't dream it would end up in the ultimate desolate shitshow of failure it has this season - peak United.

As for Prince Abdullah, his biggest fault is that he's not rich enough as most of our fans would like him to be. If he had as much money as whoever it owns Man City nobody would really care if he was unaware that Ted Hemsley also turned out for Worcestershire.

Meanwhile, I'm hoping the OP - or anyone - can point me to a PL club beyond Manchester United which is providing a rich source of funds for its owner, rather than being a continual drain.

I liked the Wilder appointment because he'd won multiple leagues (there's really not that many who've done that) and had a history of success. The United fan thing never really bothered me.

The Prince's arrival, for all this joke of a quid, came with two things: the writing off of a ton of debt to McCabe, and the promise of several million in investment. That's why I didn't buy the club for a pound, because I couldn't follow it up with that kind of future offering.

Since then we got out of League One, had a couple of years in the Prem, broke records for our signings beyond what anyone expected, reacquired assets previously separated from the club by the previous owner (ones he seemed rather reluctant to sell back), and recorded a profit for the first time since the previous owner wrote off a ton of his debt.

The current failings of the club, as far as I can tell, are all on the pitch and limited to this season. Now I know that you can't separate the boardroom from the squad in these days of the game being so much about the money, but it does all feel a bit like people are turning their anger anywhere they can as oppose to other times in our history when we've been run by literal crooks.

There's room between "The owner is great" and "the owner is the devil"

He's done OK. Better than I believe McCabe would have done

The impression I have right now is that the only thing he could have done was give more oversight to our recruitment process. The problem is that seems to be one of the things that the manager saw as a deal breaker. And so I'm torn between the fact I really wanted to keep that manager and wanting the board to do more.

I'm not about to sing his praises after this season but I don't really get where all the hate is coming from. Aside from "he should have more money".

I won’t be happy until every single person at the club from the owner, board members, manager, coaching staff, players, office staff, catering people and car park attendants were all born within 50 yards of Bramall Lane, and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Division One winning side of 1898. Its the only way we can guarantee they’ll all care and do a professional job. Anybody from further out might be pigs so can’t be trusted not to run off with all the TV money and the posh new curtain rails in the executive boxes.
Dont forget the bog rolls.!

.An owner who cannot be bothered to attend games
Theres this little thing called covid doing the rounds
sort of stops people moving about a tad

prince lives in arabia,if hes got a magic carpet it might be his only option to get here
would cost him more to quarantine at heathrow than what he paid for the club

I'm sure it was joint ownership when we got to the Premier League 50/50. McCabe did however own the stadium, hotel and other assets, probably best not to dig too deep into assets stripped from the club though eh seeing as one or two are still in McCabe ownership.
Who financed the buying of certain players when super Kev kept his hand firmly in his pockets and wanted the cheap option just like in 2006-7?
Stating Fact doesn't make things a fact. Throughout this thread you have continued to make yourself look stupid, ever heard the saying when in a hole stop digging?
