Keith is more likely to want to drive the coach than be the coach these days.

Me neither. One of the special things about the Wilder era was true United representation from Manager & Captain - Sentimental and rare in the modern game. It was nice while it lasted but we need to kick on now because we probably will never again recreate that formula.

Sadly there's a sizeable representation of our fanbase who stubbornly do not want change. The types who would probably throw their own faeces at the boardroom windows if we started flogging Vegan alternative snacks in the ground.

yes mate. As someone who used to supply the vegan pies to Forest Green Rovers, I used to think if you scaled their model up and applied their "sustainable" approach to a club of genuine size we could be a real global "story" but our fans would only piss in the rainwater collectors and draw a cock and balls on the solar panels so we keep selling shit to the uncaring and on we go. Cap doffed, traditions maintained. Still, we were great 50 years ago weren't we?

He bought a player for £2m loaned him straight to Beerschot where he is now on their bench. Think I could start with that fact.

...but that player still belongs to United and may in the future play for us or be sold at a profit.
Beerschot may also be paying a loan fee.

But he’s owned by us and as and when we sell him SUFC not Beerschot gets the profit. If on the other hand he turns into a player we can use (work permits permitting) then he’ll be here. I’m not sure what your point is. At worst he’s an investment for the club which hopefully will make a profit for us at best we’ve used Beerschot to develop a player for us much as we sent players to Ferencvaros years back

Who may make us a profit or alternatively become a good player for us in the future. Don’t we complain that in the past we’ve been short sighted in this kind of thing and missed out as a result?
Now if we had not had any money to spend on players here because of this being replicated time and again you might have a point but we spent big, in our terms at least, in the summer and £2m is hardly here nor there in comparison to what we spent.
The bigger question is whether we bought the right players for our first team last summer not whether a punt on a young lad who may or may not make us a long term profit was the right expenditure I would suggest.

I have no personal knowledge of the man’s financial situation . My post suggested that many believed him to be skint
I am only concerned that he has chosen to invest in other football clubs. IMO possibly to the detriment of the Blades
He has spent much more than previous owners but this investment must be covered by the funds co ming into the club
I do appreciate that ‘skint’ is relative to the money spent on clubs by other owners
As for your Brexit remark. I am sick and tired of hearing about that situation It is as it is 😂

McCabe taught him how to cook them. Then he told him all about his plan to have clubs all round the world, which was only foiled by a recession and PA thought “mmm, good plan Kev, once I’ve fucked you off I’ll have a bit of that”
 
To be fair does anyone think Mr McCabe would have given Mr Wilder as much money to spend on recruitment as HRH has over the last 5 seasons ?

I don’t know about five years as KM was still co-owner five years ago but if the question was “would he have let Wilder spend most of the PL money?” I’d say yes, he would.
 
Sorry but I disagree, KM got his fingers burned the last time we were in the Prem. and after the Beattie Flue, Walker and Harry, episodes I seriously doubted he had any intentions of going back there, maybe he was right..... ;)

The seasons before and after the PL season was where he lost fortunes. In the PL the club made a profit.

Was that on the court case ?
The season after we came down was the last time he had any intentions of funding a push for the Prem. in fact he cut back so much after that we dropped into Div 3 and until Mr Wilder and the HRH came along, look like staying there ...

No. The West Ham money hit the 2009 accounts. Trading profit in the 2007 accounts and trading losses from then on.

I didn't say that all I read is how much Abdullah has spent,he's mortgaged players until you've paid for your house in full it's still owned by the bank and if next season goes wrong we (the club) are financially in big trouble then people i.e office staff and others lose their jobs

There were personal as well as financial reasons for the decline in the clubs fortunes after our relegation a lot of the board who’d helped Kevin run the club up until that point had to step away from the club for family reasons.
