Until he bought into our club for a quid I doubt that the Prince knew United existed
Now he has added us to his portfolio of clubs and is said to be skint
I wish that we had an Owner whose sole sporting interest was the Blades
What is it that attracts foreigners to our clubs? Do they have the best interest of the club at heart, or is thee another reason that escapes me?

Description

“Cash cow, in business jargon, is a venture that generates a steady return of profits that far exceed the outlay of cash required to acquire or start it. Many businesses attempt to create or acquire such ventures, since they can be used to boost a company's overall income and to support less profitable endeavors.”

Everyone was happy the Prince had won the court case ahead of a supporter of Sheffield United. Can you imagine the shock when this happens.

When we decide to go purchasing other clubs. This is just a business for the Prince he has no connection to this club which is why he’s used our Premier League money to acquire the other clubs with no benefit to ourselves what so ever.

Have you any proof that he’s used the PL money to buy other clubs? I’ve not seen the 2020 accounts but I’ve heard this before and all l ever get was, “it was on Twitter” (or Facebook).

If the clubs money has been used for this there will be a note in the accounts.

The clubs money is his money. When CW has brought us in £250m us as fans think he’s brought that for the club. In reality the money is the Princes to do as he wishes.

There is no benefit to sufc for these clubs.

Ive said all along when people started crowing how good Abdullah will be for our club and that they where happy to see McCabe go be carful what you wish for.An owner who cannot be bothered to attend games preferring to watch games on television, these owners haven't a clue about football ask him who John Harris or Ces Caldwell was and what they did for our club until he was introduced to TC he'd have walked straight past him he wouldn't have a clue. Now the talk is that he hasn't the money he said he had.......Brilliant

Do you think the people McCabe had lined up would have heard of JH and CC or recognised TC? Totally barmy argument.

Football doesn't make money for owners

Why does where he was born matter?

We had an owner from round here, no bigger blade than him 🙄 He had such good business sense he lost the club for a pittance

If you want romance and local interest you'd be better watching non league. I'm sure they'd appreciate your support

Still failing to see what owning multiple other clubs has done to hurt United.

Kevin Mc Cabe would have, what people McCabe had lined up are you talking about?

Owning or an interest in other clubs dilute monies for the main one.....obviously!

Did I dream it or did McCabe buy a load of foreign clubs too?
By all means argue that he shouldn’t be buying other clubs but using it as an example to big up McCabe is a bit rich

Let's get McCabe back after all there is no bigger blade, you know the same bloke who wouldn't finance the players needed to get into the Premier League to start with. My god some of our fans do talk out of their arseholes. Chengdu, White Star, Ferencvaros and there is a few more, ring any bells?

Here's the extent of United's cash-cow-ness

I've no doubt whatsoever that some people will think we actually made a profit in 2014 looking at the graphic, even though it says McCabe wrote off £34m of his own money.

No Sheffield United director received any payments at all in 2019-20. Zero, nada, zilch. Though Ed Woodward and Daniel Levy received £3m apiece from their clubs.

Don’t forget Central Coast Mariners. There’s possibly an argument that PA shouldn’t be repeating the mistakes KMc made by doing this but not that he is worse as an owner using this as the proof.
I’ve said all along that I’d have preferred neither to have won but we got who we got and I intend to stay as balanced as I can when assessing him as our current owner. He’s a long way to go to be our worst as the older among us well remember. Can he become one of the best? Time will tell and the next managerial appointment may well decide that.

Rather than cash cow United maybe a better title would be ‘Rich random bloke with a fleeting passion for New playthings United’

Now that he’s driven out the heart and soul of the club and seeks to bring in some cheap replacement that no one has ever heard of, he’ll lose what ever interest he had and we will become the old worn toy discarded in the corner as he spots something shinier to take an interest in.

Bring back Kev, it's not like he bought/invested in a string of foreign clubs, using our name as his kudos (even changing a club's name to reflect this), in the same locations where his property company was signing new deals. One heck of a coincidence.

I won’t be happy until every single person at the club from the owner, board members, manager, coaching staff, players, office staff, catering people and car park attendants were all born within 50 yards of Bramall Lane, and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Division One winning side of 1898. Its the only way we can guarantee they’ll all care and do a professional job. Anybody from further out might be pigs so can’t be trusted not to run off with all the TV money and the posh new curtain rails in the executive boxes.

McCabe never owned CCM or White Star. Ferencvaros was owned by his Hungarian set up. The only club money was spent on Chengdu. Other than White Star, now defunct, the others involved building projects.

The claim was that HRH had used PL money to buy clubs, a claim which Swiss Ramble confirms, at least up to July 2020, is wrong. It’s just a Twitter rumour by some clown.
