I really don't want to bring anything negative to the table for Sunday, but unless a stop is put to it a big cloud will hang over the day for me anyway.

I know I probably come across as a bit of a drama queen but growing up in the 90s in a massively Wednesday area and going to a hugely pig populated school wasn't that fun.

I could deal with the Oh-la-la-Sibon song, I could even put up with the infuriating "Wusu-Wusu" chants and stupid air pump ...
but the constant, ear gouging, lyrically inept noise that was the "der der der der" song pushed me close to going Colombine on Ecclesfield School.
I'm no shrinking violet, I used to give the Wednesday fans as good as I got. There was a handful of us who wore the shirt under our uniform and constanly fought the battle to fly the flag, but as you are aware it's difficult when your opponents are armed with a never ending annoying groan of a tune.

We have some of the best songs around with obviously the world best football anthem included.
My only ever complaint about our atmosphere is that we don't have enough player songs. This year with the Freeman, Sharp, Coutts, Moore, Wilder and magic hat song we've even put that gripe to bed.

Long boring thread cut short- They've got one song, one bastard song.
Please don't play it over the tannoy Gary. Please ditch it for the celebrations Sunday and for God's sake don't play it at the derby next season!

not everyone can make it, I would love to be there, every Blade should enjoy the day and let nothing get in the way.

In reference to the "Other Stuff" distracting from the big celebration that is best saved for now until after Sunday, we should all enjoy finally getting out of this god awful league and on to bigger and better things, I hope everyone enjoys the day and there are lots of pictures on here, so I can get lot of second hand good cheer on the day watching on from Hertfordshire.

Seriously? Dint know they had any claim to that let alone a song!

I'd have thought something from Finding Nemomwould have been more appropriate for the dolphin killers
Dunno. TJ asked what the song was so I've answered. I didn't start the thread. I do remember them singing Aida which is similar but not the same.

I was being sarky about the feckin annoying drum in south Barnsley e44, keep up an eat ya toast ;)

I could do with Toast Blade56 if you don't mind dropping me some down with a bit of butter on, I am in Langley just near slough, that would be grand and Coffee milk no sugar please.. ;)

I think we should come out to Nes en Dorma or that one that the Apollo rockets used to be rolled out to.

I've no preference what new songs we add.
Kasbian, while linked with Leicster is fine with me.
Star wars, while linked with NOTHING worked for a while as well.
I just don't understand why we need to play the one song that is infamous with our rivals.

I don't think it is though. It's this

That's what their stupid fucking band used to play in the 90s

I thought exactly the same when we played it vs Bradford. "Pig song this" I said.

No, Annie's song would do me fine with a bit of Magic Hat thrown in, thanking you.
If it was good enough for Wembley it's good enough for here and it say's it all.....
UTB.......:)

Surely a selection from classic musicals is the order of the day

South Pacific , Annie get your gun and phantom of the opera songs we can all join in with
while the team do dance routines from West Side Story on the desso

I was at Ecclesfield Comp too. 92-96

Yes it was literally a handful of Blades putting up with incessant drivel from grunter "friends" but I don't remember that song in reference to anything.

I just wore my shirt with pride & the only time I remember any kind of major annoyance was after the cup semi & them singing we beat the scum 2-1.

Made it even sweeter when we surpassed them years later though :)

Carnival de Paris.

It's in the thread title ;)

Thought he just meant Sunday was going to be some kind of carnival...which it will!

Obviously heard that song but I wouldn't immediately associate it with them lot. Probably because every other bugger and his brother sings it.

If you don't like what's being played before the game, you could always take your seat at about 3 minutes to kick-off. Works fine for me!

We are the Champions on a right fucking annoying loop for the whole 90+ minutes

I wasn't complaining about it, just trying to be helpful

Maybe "any thing you can do we can do better" in case our neighbours can hear us over the sound of there own arrogance?
