I've heard there is a big protest going to take place next sunday, win or lose, am i being bullshitted here or is there one going to take place, if so who on here will be going, im not usualy one for stuff like this but it's come to a point where i've had more than enough and i'l probs be there, not that it's likely to do much good.

When before or after the game?

Seems daft doing it before if that will be the case (and i know some will say it would be after the game too:p).

if we lost to wednesday at home then i think i may have a wander down :D

How to piss off the best Chairman (McCabe) we've had in my lifetime.

Go ahead.

You could reverse that though. How to piss off the best fan base we have had in years - keep a consistenly unsuccesful manager in charge of the club.

Fine.....keep sacking managers every 8 month.

A great plan.

Keep him in, lose our fan base and revenue.

Great plan.

I for one wont be taking part in any car par protest..... cos I am off on holiday and missing the Man city game and the watford game, what perfect timing.

who said we will be sacking another manager in 8 months time? the next manager might come in and do great.

Don't me wrong, im not going to stop going. But others will do, and when that happens all that McCabe has done will be worthless.

I won't be in the car park either, was just curious.

I'll not be.

Do people really think Mr Mccabe is that stupid he needs a car park demo to know how his fellow fans feel?

are we to sit back and clap ourselfs then after another poor performance?

what if it isnt the same SF?

Wheres all this clapping nonsense come from?

I simply asked if people think McCabe is stupid enough to need a car park demo to know how his fellow fans feel.

So I'll ask you again mate. If calling for his head inside the ground isn't constructive (I can see your logic), and doing the same outside the ground, in a non-playing environment is equally as ineffective (don't agree with you), then how else are we to show our feelings?

I'm pretty certain that the biggest protest at the Cup match could be the attendance itself. Is that the only way we can demonstrate? Doesn't really work for season ticket holders when it comes to league matches does it?

the clapping nonsense is of the support we apparently need to do to win us promotion.

granted nothing to do with what you said :D

i think he needs one as nothing has been said or done to shed light on the situation.

I don't have a problem with people calling for his head in the car park AFTER the game.

That is probably the best way of letting your views be heard other than voting with your feet.

I just wondered if people think that it really is needed in order to enlighten Mr McCabe or if its more a release of frustration?

Keenzy, when I say supporting and getting behind the team... as I keep saying.... I don't mean sitting and clapping crap. I mean not jumping on their backs and screaming abuse at them for every mistake and making an atmosphere that isn't so counter productive. There is a big difference.

Perhaps we shouldn't bother at all then?

Do you lot really think McCabe doesn't understand how the crowd feel???

A very successful person who doesn't realise what is going on around him?

He needs some "fans" shouting in a car park to understand?

Get real lads!

we need some light shedding on the situation.

he might be a businessman too hard to swallow humble pie.

what are we to do then sit back till the end of the season and then give him another season, by that time we might have dropped a divison, with kev finding it hard to swallow humble pie?

get real lads!

Fair enough. I do think voices need to be raised though, if nothing else to heighten the seriousness of the situation.

So Keenzy you do what you think best.

What will you do that's different to me then?

I'll Applaud kev if he swallows his humble pie and sacked robson. ill ask kev if i get chance what the situation is and what he plans to do, stick with robson and throw money at him which is what robson wants, or if hes going to get rid and bring in a replacement to steady us for next seasons push.

and what will you do SF?

I would never enter into a demonstration in the car park - ever. I don't see the point, and certainly not under Mr McCabe who has turned this club around. We wouldn't be in the situation we are now (and I don't mean Robson, I mean a big club). Kevin McCabe is big enough and ugly enough (para-phrasing!) to know how we feel - his own son (also on United's board) wants rid of Robson - if his own son feels that don't you think he's aware of how the rest of us feel? He's at the games (homes games for definite, unsure on away) so he can hear us booing, he can hear everyone shouting - he's only a hundred yards or so from the dugout! He knows what's happening.

At the end of the day, whether we protest, don't go to the match, hold up red cards to Robson (as some clown on BU suggested), boo and jeer or e-mail the club - it is not up to us. We don't run the club, we're not Robson's boss - there's only a few men that can control that, and they're all "Yes Men" to Mr McCabe - and nobody will make his mind up except himself. If there was NO fans at all, not even one, it wouldn't make him change his mind, he'll make his own mind up when he wants to.

Car Park demos do nothing except humiliate the club.

His words to my dad a couple of weeks ago were "Wait and see, he'll deliver, I promise you"
