Car park protest

IF some kind of protest was really going to happen, it should be helpfully suggesting improvements to the infrastructure for ongoing successful - including recruitment department. Not aggressively slagging anyone off.

We have new owners that seemingly have money to help us. Just because it's not going well yet, doesn't mean we want to scare them off (or just make them hate the fans/club). They can and will doubtless learn. Have been here less than a year.

We're too apathetic a fan base, to organise any protests. Easier, just to moan and grumble. I think a lot of us prefer that anyhow.

How about we cut him some slack , get behind him a little bit and stop calling for his head after 4 games when he hasn't had the benefit of time and a grown up squad. Just a thought .
We had lost 4 before Saturday. After seeing the teamsheet for the Boro game, do you think he has spotted the glaring weaknesses and is prepared to change?

Do we cut up the trousers whilst we are wearing them or after we have taken them off 🤔 Will Elf n Safety allow us to use a knife or scissors int public carpark 🤔

As long as I see your Method Statement, Risk Assessment, insurance details and you slip me and appropriate bribe I don't see a problem.

Car park protest?

Give over. We can't even get fired up for a game on match day. The Lane is like entering an anaesthetics recovery room these days, compared to the good old days of Warnock and our rise to the PL under Wilder.

The atmosphere died when we stank the place out, embarrassed ourselves, saw our own financial issues leading to a points deduction and that's left a real legacy of doubt, fear and many just going because, well, it's what we do.

The reality behind the nicely, newly painted façade.

Ironic, but the 'pashun' died only a few years ago. Really ironic.

Maybe a reason that folk with real money aren't prepared to invest in us. We're just not that 'big' a club or fan base any longer, no matter how much we want to delude ourselves otherwise.

If only we could turn the current online, social media passion and anger into match day 'pashun', that really would be something to see.

Let's hope for a new start sometime but I fear there's more pain to be gone through yet.

That’s the spirit. You sound like a Selles half-time team talk.

Funny how the atmosphere was brilliant when the team were playing well...

Maybe the two are connected somehow?

Great suggestion!

They have Theakstons Old Peculier on tap there. I'm in!

I live in the States and my stepson brews ale in his garage, there's always 5 beers on tap when I visit and they're usually really good. When I visit home I bring him a few beers back to try and Old Peculiar was one of his favourites so he got the recipe and brewed a batch. I was sceptical but I'll be honest and say I thought it was better than the real thing. Tasted great but not quite as heavy so it was a thumbs up from me 👍

Now, where are we meeting and is it shoes or pants off? I've got this aversion to bare feet, especially in public so regardless, I WILL be keeping my socks on.

Sounds ace, pal. I prefer the heavier stuff, myself but that'd be great.

Going to Morrisons tonight for some Innis & Gunn Caribbean Rum Beer as I love the flavour of rum in my drinks. It's a little on the 'rich' side so too many can be a bit grim but it makes a nice change. Take him a couple over next time you're here.

Car park wise, I'm more than happy to meet wherever we all want as long as there's good beer close by. After a few I don't mind swinging the old grundies or sock above me' head and I'll probably have forgotten why I'm there anyway.

Following the success of the shoes off protest that got rid of Robson, how about a car park pants off protest for Selles?
Don't go there i have never lived that down after Danny Wilson🙈

Shoes off ans stood next to some sweaty Betty with feet that smelled worse than a skunk.

Never again 😂

Now that sounds right up my alley (the beer, not the protest) and I'm finding it online so may partake in a few of those 👍. I do like a glass of rum and the same stepson usually uses me as the guinea pig when he's looking at different one's so fathers day, birthdays and Christmas usually see a different bottle on the table. This is the latest one, looking at the strength I'll need to coat my tongue in asbestos but hey, we only live once 😵

Couldn't agree more, mate. Although, at 69% it might be a case of "you only live briefly"!

Shame we can't combine drinking these splendid drinks whilst watching from the Kop at BDTBL. It'd make it 'bearable' and every bloody good drunken shout would end in a laugh!

I'm retiring in two years and am thinking very seriously about brewing something nice in a lovely, big stone and timber garden house that I'm planning and going to start building on my first day. You're invited any time you're over here. I'll even throw in the pork scratchings and pork pie!

Enjoy pal.

You know living here sees you craving the strangest things. We lived just outside Otley before moving here and they had four prize winning butchers. I used to get a hot pork pie and sit and eat it in the Market square there. Nowadays, I would commit murder here for a pork pie so I'll definitely take you up on that offer my friend 👍
