At the end of the play off final against Burnley Morgs was going around consolling the players particularly the youger ones, but you could see that he was devastated because he wasn't going to get another go at the Premiership. He is a top man and a top footballer which I think has been proved year after year.
With him signing a new deal I have renewed hope for next season. I think the hurt has gone and the fight is back. The footballling gods are screaming that this is our season (well maybe not screaming but calling us on the breeze). Monty might leave and as much as I like him I think we can find a battler from league 1 and even if Billy goes we have a potentially brilliant strikeofrce (key word potentially). However, I'd love to see Billy stay and score 20+ and Monty stay and do what he does best break up play.
Whatever people might think of KB he is not a bad manager. He might not be everyone's first choice but he is not bad. Get real and take a look around at the other dross on offer. Next season there are going to be major shifts in football and finance, and SUFC are in a position to grab the season by the balls and say **** you to all of the other wannabes out there.
We need the crowd behind the team on day 1 not the indifferent atmosphere of last season. Don't renew season tickets if you don't want but turn up to the games you want to see and support the team and if you don't want to support the team take the wife/husband to Meadowhall or stay at home and make the bed springs squeak.
Next season belongs the the red and white wizards. COYRAWW.
