So that's 1928 seats available at the palace game.

1000 were quite easily away tickets I'd say.

So roughly 900 off a Blades capacity crowd, and how many restricted view seats have we got? Few hundred easily, some of the restricted view seats in the monstrosity corner are so restricted you may as well sit in the bus stop on Shoreham Street.

Does anyone know how many Palace sold? I've had a look at some pictures and there were the two South stand side blocks almost entirely empty, that's about 400-500 seats? I'm crap at judging crowds, but anyway, it's not as bad as some are making out.

Expecting to be over 31K on Saturday to be honest as Leicester travel well.

You're doing it again, repeating something ad nauseum in the hope it might become a 'fact'. If you really think I'm a troll, put me on ignore. It really is that simple.

As for sending me on some wild goose chase, nice try. Why can't you just tell us how much of other people's money will be spent, to build this 'cheap' Kop extension?

Listen pal, I won't persevere with you. It's obvious you have learning difficulties or something, I don't want to be the one who tips you over the edge.

That's a shame as I thought we were getting on quite well.

I post something, you completley ignore it and repeat something about 'trolls' or 'cocopops'.

It's quite comforting really.

As I said, use the 'ignore' button.

No need to pretend you give a shit.

If you look at home sales so far its far lower than it was for the palace game...i'm guessing the loyalty points issue even at 200 is causing it.

I don't give a shit, lets get that one out of the way. I don't need to use a forum function to ignore someone either, I prefer to use my own. You're just a shit esablade.

It’s too big really. We can’t even sell all our tickets.

😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well there's not much point building an extension if we don't think we'd fill it. Plus a lot depends on what happens on the pitch. When I went to the stadium of light the attendance was 29000 plus but there were banks of empty seats and zero atmosphere from the home fans. Admittedly they were in the doldrums. I reckon a 35000 capacity would be ideal for us. Atmosphere was cracking at molyneux Mon night with 31000 plus.

Our capacity has prevented us selling any season tickets after we got promoted.

About 12 people missed out despite having about 2 months to get one.
If they're on the system and have a few points they won't miss much.

We usually sell a lot of season tickets in the second phase over the summer.
After being promoted to the Premier League do you really think we would have only sold another 12 season tickets?

Yes, between 12 and 20. How many more do you think we would have sold?

The only Premier team for miles and with cheap kids tickets, I honestly think we could have sold a few thousand more over the summer.

But you think these people don't want to attend game by game after they 'missed out'?

They would get ROI on the increased value of the club when and if they ever came to sell it. A club with a capacity of 37,000 or 40k odd and who had the fanbase to fill it on several occasions a season and more should they have real success, would be worth a lot more than a club with a 30k capacity.
If we expand and get relegated there'll be no return on investment.

I thought the number of season tickets we could sell were restricted because we had to have x number of "walk up" seats available.?

I've not said that pal but looking at the matchday prices many would jump at the chance to buy a season ticket.
I think we could also attract more families from outside Sheffield lured in by the Prem.👍

I think you're right. Me and Keef are debating whether we would have sold more season tickets in a bigger stadium.
Keef thinks that after promotion we would have sold approx 1/week and I'm much more bullish🐂

hull are struggling now with a near 30k seat stadium and got 10k last home game

until you become fixture in the prem its a risk expanding too quickly

for us blades its not that big a gamble as we can average 25k being middling

could do a Darlington and squeeze 3 to 4000 more than the capacity

now thats a proper were on our way back moment

That's right but I'm not sure it was ever clear if we really did sell the max we could or if we tried to be clever and hold some extra back to make more money.
Lots of factors including price and TV put off match sales but we've hardly bust a gut to sell tickets. Crap ticketing website by today's standards and no imagination or offers just an expectation fans will jump through hoops for the privilege of buying a ticket

The rules will be relaxed if we ever need the cash from ticket sales in future.
At the moment we don't so United don't need to bend over backwards for new customers, just looking after the current and past ones who've shown an interest previously.

We've got a brand new ticketing site, seatgeek operate it, it's the same as Manchester City, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Brighton's (Premier League) and Derby, West Brom and others in the Championship.

And I never had any issues with the old one.

I would have been quite happy for them to develop “monstrosity corner” into a media centre instead. But now we’ve got 2 eyesores in the ground with the aforementioned corner stand (worst piece of football architecture I’ve seen) at one end of the Kop and Gary Lineker’s potting shed at the other.

Anybody know how we ended up at 32125 seats when the seats taken for the press at the rear of the south got replaced with extra seats in front of the south

I know quite a few people who are away on holiday for both the Palace & Leicester matches who otherwise would have come. There must be loads of those.

We are not Hull though

A redeveloped kop lasts forever signing a player doesn’t

Would you rather sign lys moussett or redevelop the KOP

without repeating myself as I've written all my thoughts in one post earlier,

I think 35k, maybe a few k more (availability for future), but important that they are good 35k seats. If they go for a more expensive option on the kop, and completely rebuild it will of course cost a lost more, but extra revenue from it. I hate the extension plan personally. The kop was a quick job, and needs replacing IMO.
If we expand and get relegated there'll be no return on investment.

Click on the link above, the problem we (and all clubs for that matter, unless relocation) is you either lose seats whilst building, when in the big leagues and got money coming in... OR spend money on ground in lower leagues which is unpopular with fans too, as they want investment in the team. There has to be some middle ground.

hull are struggling now with a near 30k seat stadium and got 10k last home game

We aren't Hull though.

The days of 12k crowds which is what I grew up with, hopefully won't happen again, but can't not develop based on this.

Their ground is a bowl too, like Sunderland in other example. If the Kop is done right, and if we do go down this or next or next or whenever, then I think with good and easier ticketing (I've not tried for years to get my own ticket, it's just too much hard work now - I used to go to football to get away from normal every day shit... now getting a ticket is a nightmare, and has been for years. Not new this since Prem IMO.

I think the number of Blades fans there are - I know hundreds just from working, and the pubs around here... loads of old timers... people like me (went religiously). These can all be tempted back. We have 80k students in Sheff, if attendances go down, do what Fulham did, have a neutral area, get 3k fans in all paying for tickets and pies and beer.

And as I've always said, when ground has loads of seats every year - get kids in. They're the fans of the future. No kids, no Blades in the future.

p.s. completely cocked up all the quotes, and tried best to repair!

Linekers shed reminds me of these 1566503967734.jpeg
