That argument makes no sense in the context of my postThey put 7 past Leipzig who are a good top 7-8 PL team.
Read nothing into it
Didn't see it watched Chelsea v EvertonThey can do this to any team, Burnley defence was all over the place tbf
Then why are you posting a thread about it?Didn't see it watched Chelsea v Everton

We beat spurs plus the way burnley play they are going to get murdered by prem teams with better quality playersBurnley 2 defeats all season miles clear , probably be promoted with 6 games left , lose 6-0 at city the gulf is ridiculous and will only get bigger and bigger
A poster was pointed out it wasn't just a gulf between them and the championship, but it sailed over your head.My thread is to highlight the huge gap, Burnley are without doubt the best side in this league, (someone will mention 5-2) and the best we have v the best the premier league has shows a massive gulf , which if I'm honest surprised me , but because I didn't watch the game it didn't happen apparently
i would say burnley will out play prem teams to. dont forget the gulf between the likes of citeh and everyone else. its huge. just look at fulham this season, doing pretty well. though i do think setting up like we(boro) do in the champo against prem teams would mean an awful lot of defeats. we play far to open. we would have to be a little more pragmatic in the prem.We beat spurs plus the way burnley play they are going to get murdered by prem teams with better quality players
Same for boro who treat defending as a way of starting attacks

They are a Gulf StateThe OP is only pointing out that there is a gulf between them and the Championship, which surely nobody disagrees with. The fact that there’s a gulf between them and RB Leipzig as well is beside the point.
There’s a gulf between them and most of the rest of the Premier League
Really? That argument makes no sense in the context of my post
You think there's a big gap between 1st in Championship and 2nd in PL? NooooMy thread is to highlight the huge gap, Burnley are without doubt the best side in this league, (someone will mention 5-2) and the best we have v the best the premier league has shows a massive gulf , which if I'm honest surprised me , but because I didn't watch the game it didn't happen apparently
Really?
Of course there is. They're one of the best teams in the world.Do you not think there’s a gulf between Man City and the Championship?
There's a gulf between City and most teams, even big successful ones, which was the reply OP stropped about. The OP is only pointing out that there is a gulf between them and the Championship, which surely nobody disagrees with. The fact that there’s a gulf between them and RB Leipzig as well is beside the point.

Have people only just realised this tonight?
Yeah and the point I was making was that they put more than 6 past a much better team than Burnley.Possibly but that was the point the OP was making.

Sheffield United and Burnley are never going to compete with Manchester City. Not sure why there was a comparison. Now if Wolves or Southampton etc. Put 6 past Burnley, the OP would have a point... only a few weeks ago, United beat 4th placed Spurs.
You can almost guarantee the two Manchester balls will have been in the freezer to make sure they can be kept apart! Dream Final for all the overseas fans who have never set foot into Old Trafford or the Etihad!
We lost 5-0 at Leicesterwe didn’t get hammered by anyone really.
We failed to get anything from Liverpool and City but didn’t get trounced by anyone.
Spurs 4-0’away the worst and I’d say ruining their season this year has wiped that one.
Our results against City were 2-0 with a ridiculous VAR overrule of a Mousset goal to take the lead, then 3 1-0 defeats.
That said, if we manage to win today I’d be happy to let another Premier League team have a go at them. You can almost guarantee the two Manchester balls will have been in the freezer to make sure they can be kept apart! Dream Final for all the overseas fans who have never set foot into Old Trafford or the Etihad!
The issue for me is that Burnley will struggle next year but are so much better than this league. I like turning up every week with the optimism of a win. They put 7 past Leipzig who are a good top 7-8 PL team.
