Great team effort today.

Thought Halford, all the defence Monty and Wardy need a mention.

Not a classic but still a good performance.

Can we start to believe?

:)

Well we've moved to 3 points behind Brum having played the same.

Need Preston v. Brizzle to stay 0-0 and we'll be 8 clear of 7th.

We have both Reading and Burnley still to play.

I'd say we are very well placed to kick on, especially with the form we're in.

Keep it up blades.

The table certainly looks good as it stands...

Looking down:

Burnley are three points behind us and have played a game more.

Cardiff need to win both their games in hand on us and score 9 goals to get above us. It's Swansea tomorrow for them which will never be an easy game for them.

We're eight points in front of Preston and eleven in front of Swansea and Bristol.

Looking up:

Reading have got to play us and Birmingham... as well as Barnsley who are fighting to get up the table.

Birmingham play Wolves on Monday... if they don't pick any points up they're three points ahead of us with us having a game on them.

Over the last 5 seasons, the teams in 2nd place have finished on the following number of points:

2007/2008 - Stoke - 79 points
2006/2007 - Brum - 86 points
2005/2006 - Blades - 90 points
2004/2005 - Wigan - 87 points
2003/2004 - WBA - 86 points

If we win every match left, we'd finish on 87 points.... I was hoping it looked a bit more optimistic than that :D Perhaps I should be looking at the team in 3rd +1 point instead ? :)

3rd placed teams:

2007/2008 - Hull - 75 points
2006/2007 - Derby - 84 points
2005/2006 - Watford - 81 points
2004/2005 - Ipswich - 85 points
2003/2004 - Sunderland - 79 points

Still, this was the last 5 seasons, this season is a different kettle of fish :D

Bristol 1 - 1 Preston at the moment...

no, we will cock up on last game of the season and end up 3rd by a point.

Blackwell did the same thing with Leeds when chasing us:D Hopefully it won't end the same way.

Lmao by doing the predictor i had it finish with one game to go

2. Reading 79 +33
3. Sheff Utd 79 +29
4. Birmingham 78 +19

Final Games. Reading v Birmingham & Palace v Blades.

That would be so tense :D.

I have the following from my predictions for the last games:

1. Wolves - 93 Points
2. Blades - 85 Points
3. Birmingham - 83 Points
4. Reading - 81 Points
5. Cardiff - 80 Points
6. Burnley - 73 Points

I am fully preparing myself for the torment of the play offs.

I don't expect to get anything from Reading on Friday.

Forest will be a tough game because they're fighting for their lives.

Swansea aren't going to come and roll over.

And I don't expect any favours from Warnock.

I'm hoping all that up there actually starts sinking in. Because while my head is trying not to set me up for disappointment, in my heart, I'm as giddy as a kid at Christmas!

We're gonna be champions people.

Odds are standing at 15/1, get some dollar on and BELIIEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEE

i don't expect anything from the Reading game either, but i just have a weird feeling that we will sneak something, if we do, i can see us getting second!

If we do win, we'll go unbeaten for the rest of the season

I got lots of hope, very excited regardless of result on Friday, but very nervous. So, I'm doing the Blackwell thing of one game at a time, just don't want to get ahead of myself but am enjoying the moment of sitting where we are in the Table.

Call me an old cynic, but after 50 years of supporting the Blades I find that if I expect the worse then I am usually never disappointed. Its led to a wonderful life of dellusion and complete lack of dissapointment!!!!

One of my favourite phrases. Linz even suggested (tongue in cheek) it should be the Club's motto :D. It goes well with "He who asks does not get: he who didn't ask, didn't want in the first place.".

It also means that you can say "Told you so." when everyone else is crying, thus taking a schadenfreudische moral high ground.

Now, back to my medication ...
