joe1889 said:Interesting comments from mr Hammam on firstly the price of Cameron Jerome ( £4m-£5m but no less than £3.5m)not bad to say that when the transfer window opened it was £1m.If i was the chairman of Cardiff, i would be creating an auction for our star player considering they are £30m in debt, and well over budget.Interesting as well that the clubs he would sell to are Newcastle,Middlesboro,Spurs and Villa as these are the band of clubs in the prem with a bit of finance at their disposal. No one will be interested in him at the price that mr Hammam is quoting, because firstly it is a buyers market not a sellers market and the only players that go for big money are the really special ones like Rooney and possibly Theo Walcott. To put things in perspective Cameron Jerome is a good championship footballer who has had a good 1st 12 months in the professional game.No way is he the finished article and there is big question marks as to whether he will cut it in the premiership, and at the price quoted is too much of a gamble.Leroy Lita is also a current England under 21 international who was sold for £1m only 6 months ago,so mr Hammam WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD,and if i was going to pay £5m for a player,it would not be Jerome.Samual Eto'o cost that amount from Mallorca to Barcelona ,so like i said GET REAL.

Cardiff boss hints at Jerome sale
Cardiff City striker Cameron Jerome Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has revealed he is prepared to sell top scorer Cameron Jerome this summer.
Jerome, 19, has scored 20 goals this season and was the subject a £2m bid from Sheffield United in January.
"We might have to sell people to bring in more," Jones told BBC Sport when asked about Jerome's future at Cardiff.
"That's what we had to do last year. There were certain players we didn't want to let go, but to survive as a football club you've got to do that."
Everton manager David Moyes, who has made buying a striker a priority for next season, was at Ninian Park on Good Friday to watch Cardiff lose 1-0 to Sheffield United.
"He's got a special talent and we're tying to bring him into this football club"
Dave Jones on Jason Koumas
But he had a wasted journey if his sights were set on Jerome as the England Under-21 international was kept quiet by the Blades defence.
Moyes, though, could have been running the rule over one of Cardiff's other top performers this season - Jason Koumas.
The Wales midfielder is on loan at Cardiff from West Brom, but Jones said every effort will be made to sign him on a permanent contract.
"Jason's been very, very good for this football club," said Jones, who has taken Cardiff to the brink of the play-offs in his first season with the Bluebirds.
"He's one of the reasons we are where we are. But he needs the other ten players to play with him.
"He hasn't always been at his best, maybe that's why he's not in the Premiership. If he wants to get back to the Premiership he knows he has to do more.
"But he's got a special talent and we're tying to bring him into this football club."
Sheffield Utd to trump Everton, Charlton for Jerome
tribalfootball.com - April 25, 2006
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock is ready to trump his new Premiership rivals in landing Cardiff City striker Cameron Jerome.
The Blades boss failed with a 2.5m bid for the 19-year-old star in the January transfer window.
But now the Bluebirds have admitted defeat in their battle to keep Jerome.
They are now prepared to sell the 20-goal hotshot to cut debts as they attempt to move into a new stadium.
Everton, Charlton and Fulham have all watched Jerome but Premiership-bound Blades are the only ones to make a firm bid.
The ex-Middlesbrough trainee also came close to joining Norwich in January but now looks certain to complete a dream move to the top-flight.

Yep, Steve's got the biggest ego of them allsilverfox said:I think you underestimate what trouble people can cause.
When you get so many ego's together it can be a huge problem that can ruin companies.
I'm afraid I have experience of such matters.
