Not singling out Brewster per se, but isn't it fair to say a player might have a 'shit attitude' which could be a contributory factor in regards their conditioning/all-round fitness and how prone they are to get injured?

That said, I'd never dream of telling a manager a player is shit or questioning why they pick them etc.
Believe me there isn’t a shit attitude in Brewster’s case. We need to remember the age and the condition of being a human being by its very nature is not going to provide exact results always like a car off the production line. I made a comment about a young player at the Lane about how by his early 20s then he’s never going to be. The coach laughed and said David Mcgoldrick was never a premier league player until late 20s early 30s his injuries, his training, his coaches, his understanding of the game serves a reminder to anyone who writes a player off as not good enough.

He was terrible for us, must have been a starting clause in his loan agreement as he didn’t deserve to start. Once at a Heaton concert we went to an after do thing wilder was there with Wit I asked him what’s the deal with him and why he starts him consistently to which he replied ‘how long you had your coaching badges’ 😂
Were you eating a sandwich at the time?

Interestingly i have made comments about the odd player to Fifa coaches and had a similar response and I was proven wrong. They are not saying the players are world beaters but they’re players he is coaching and as we know in our clubs case you get what you are given. On the other hand he could have said he is shit which he clearly wasn’t or he wouldn’t be playing as a pro. I know that Ramsdale was supposedly shit according to some know it all fans and could have raised the same question with wilder but some top goalkeeping coaches in this country think not, at this stage I could say so what they’ve got badges and experience but i have watched him at the lane and he has been shit. They have lots of experience and what did you expect him to say? A good example of calling a player out for being shit is Brewster, i listened to a conversation between a fan and a coach about how he is shit and a waste of money to which the coach responded that a) the lad doesn’t intentionally injure himself and b) you’ve not really seen him because of it and c) you can take my word for it he is a very good player. At this point the man walked away said doesn’t change the fact he’s shit and he cost a lot of money
Some fair points there.

I’ve never thought Brewster was shit. At the time of his signing a Liverpool supporting friend of mine was gutted, they seemed convinced he was going to kick on.

He’s been a waste of money (harsh that may sound) in the sense that he’s had terrible luck with injuries, but that’s not his fault

From someone (not me) who knows him he claims he’s a decent bloke.
He might be, but I’ve heard two accounts from people who have met him in front of his mates that he’s been a right clever get

Imagine you have been in a industry since a kid. Could be anything. Loads of experience and qualifications and a good cv to back all that up

Then a layperson a few drinks in questions your judgement.

And that happens ALL THE TIME.

I can't exactly find fault in that response. I'd be far harsher

As fans are emotionally and financially invested in the club, I’d say they’d be right to ask a question. It’s equally the other persons right not to answer if they feel they don’t want to. This can be done by not being snarky.

In my opinion of course 🤷

Not on their day off, though (or any time when they’re not ‘on duty’). They must get asked this stuff all the time and it will be tiresome.
