Problem is, Peck's the only one that's up to speed which is bonkers given the amount of midfielders we have. Hopefully, Jairo gets going again from the off.

Is Jairo back from injury or close? Not being a dick just missed any updates.

He’s by far our most competent midfielder imo.

Thought the red card was a bit harsh today but regardless he's not good enough to start for this team.

Riedewald and peck (who was brilliant today) for the rest of the season.

Philips should be a sub getting the odd 20 mins here and there for me.
Not harsh at all. You can’t follow through and take a player out at the knee. It’s not 1993 anymore. He knew what he was doing and deserved the red card. Very stupid from an experienced player.

Him and rothwell not bothered about. I read Phillips was in tears, I don’t care, it’s performative. Maybe he’s sad because he hasn’t played much recently and is desperate. That does not endear me to him.

For what it’s worth, he looked decent the first half. Not spectacular. I don’t want players coming here thinking I’ll get fit for six months and a better move.

I was disappointed at the FAB meeting with Betts when the DoF question was put to him. His response was dismissive when he is not a football man. Why are we reportedly paying £45k per week for a defensive midfielder when we have, theoretically, nine players who can play CM (I’m including Shackleton which is unfair as he’s not registered, but at the same time we’ve been paying him for two years so is it unfair to expect him to play a little bit of football?)

A football man could push back and say no to the manager. Holding was the highest paid player last season, yet wilder continued to play Robinson. Don’t get me wrong, I am glad wilder is back and I did not want him sacked, but I think he is wasteful when he is given money.

That second half performance was as bad as West Brom away. We were lackadaisical and sloppy and not in first gear. Phillips was deservedly sent off. Even with ten men and them, fighting against relegation (in theory), we should have been comfortable. But we really weren’t.

Can you please explain to me how it’s possible to kick a ball with any sort of power without following through?

Arblaster will start v Cov & Jairo on the bench. I’d like it to be the other way round - but it’ll no doubt take Jairo a few games to be match fit

If the alternative is Arblaster than I hope he gets back quickly. In all the excitement, Arblaster absolutely stinking the place out after he came on has been missed.

If Arblaster starts more than a couple of games for us between now and the end of the season, we're not going to be close to making top 6....

You saw a different game to me. bad as west brom nothing like

Maybe it’s my eyes YES Blade …I’m getting on a bit, but doesn’t it look like he went in two stages? I absolutely get that a strong challenge has to have a follow through of momentum. But it looked to me like he challenged, then went again.

You cant, and inglesmells was so late with his 'challenge' that he copped one. The pussy then rolled around with his arm up like many players do who are fannies. He was soon back on the pitch again, which says it all for me. Then the little pussy tried to start on a young lad who was celebrating the win. Bloke is a mangina.

Blaster and Peck do not work, Jairo probably not fit to start and Soumare is all over the place.
We faced Boro with a weak midfield, looks like we are going to give Cov the same advantage

Philips was the difference between cruising to 4 or 5 nil victory and letting them back into the game…..awful signing IMO and will make zero difference to any play off push….if the £45k wages are true then it’s even more unbelievable….
CW seems star struck…

His 'injury' looked that bad he struggled to walk off the pitch, 30 seconds later he sprinted back on after making a remarkable recovery.

Arblaster played well when he came on

Totally accurate and totally true 👏

You're just on a proper, proper negative train with Blaster.

I thought he was decent when he came on to be honest. Stinking the place out is laughable

Can you please explain to me how it’s possible to kick a ball with any sort of power without following through?

Absolutely.
But I think he might have been sent off for leaving his foot in.
On first sight I didn't think he did anything wrong. As you say, how can you kick a ball without following through? However, having seen it now from several angles and in slow motion it looks like he did a bit more than just follow through. However, slow motion can sometimes make things look worse than they really were.

I say what i see. I like the kid and what he stands for, but since he's come back, he's been poor. Anyone saying otherwise clearly has their Bladey McBladey glasses on. Which is fine, but we won't win enough games to force our way into the top 6 if he's starting regularly. Fact....
