Foreskin and Torres were both scouted and bought by premier League clubs. Manure and scousers respectively and look how shite they both were when the first arrived. Goes to show how much if i gamble it can be.

I wouldn't have had him in our side this time last year.

I'd take him now though.

Even when Silva was playing him in the wrong place he wasn't awful, has come on leaps and bounds though recently. Think he should be going to the Euros, and given the lack of strikers, might be starting.
 
One thing I’ve noticed about him recently is that he is making better and more aggressive runs to get ahead of the defender and meet the ball first. I always felt before that he hid behind the defender, as though he lacked the confidence.
Although improving it would be a sad indictment of the state of English forwards if he was leading the line this summer. Take him for the experience but I think he is about 2 years away from being an international striker
 



He’s a good player and very unselfish. His work to bring others in to play is very good.

I’d be excited to see him starting in a front 3 with Sterling and Sancho for England.
 
Some of our fans are beyond deluded the criticism DCL has had over the years is nothing short of embarrassing he has done brilliant this season especially and scored double the amount of our top scorer yet some say they would not take him.

DCL would be a quality addition up top and will be playing for England at the Euros.

Dont get the criticism at all for DCL I would have him back in a heartbeat.
 
If he wasn’t a Blade/used to play for us he wouldn’t even be mentioned on this board. Embarrassing really
 
He's really come on the Jack Grealish skillset of chucking yourself down despite not having been fouled.

He's an embarrassment as a Blade, but fortunately we get no mention in his upbringing.

He's really taken a step forward this season - he's been a surprisingly (to me, at least) effective physical forward for Everton for a while but he's been getting in much better goalscoring positions this year. He's doubled his xG per 90 minutes from 0.32 last season to 0.61 this - 6th highest in the league out of players who've played minimum 1,000 minutes, exactly the same level as Sterling, and just a tick behind Salah.

Considering Everton have been a bit of a mess for a good few months, that's even more impressive - it's not like they've become a much better attacking team in the last year and he's getting his stats padded as a result.

I never thought he'd make it to this level at all when he was turning out for us in League One - in fact I didn't even think he'd make it at League One. Hats off to him, still only 22 as well.

I'm not embarrassed. And I imagine we'll all be grateful he was a Blade when we get a decent sell-on fee.

It's the only thing missing from our story, one or two local academy graduates.
We did the right thing at the time though.

I made a comment about this, nr 75, and it’s nice to see the stats backing up what was quite obvious to the eye. He just needs to score more now but maybe that will come next season
 
I suppose that's the thing with academies whether its ours or anybody else's, there aren't too many lads that make it as top professionals playing every week at Premier League or Championship level compared to the amount of money spent on it developing players, many of whom end up in the lower leagues or being that guy in the pub that Wilder was talking about "if I'd have done x, y and z."

We were unfortunate that our best players at the time had come through while we were at our lowest ebb. Harry Maguire was the only one who has gone to the top that we got any sort of game time from.
 
Hoping that DCL goes right to the top of the game. One of our own. GLTTL.
 



Of the three, I'd only want Brooks back.

We got good deals at the time.
