Anyone find the statement about Ched Evans at the end of the article rather bizarre? Why mention it at all?

It's like we are basically putting his name out there to attract some interest.

Was just about to post something similar. There was the odd rumour on here, but nothing more. Hardly warrants addressing it in public, unless we're trying to drum up interest, or they've been indirectly contacting Ched.

It's different with loans from foreign clubs. In theory you take over their contract or something similar.
