have all had their contracts terminated by mutual consent according to O/S.

The Wright signing was inexcusable, and completely avoidable. I asked at the time why we bothered to extend his contract for the rest of the season, given we still hadn't appointed a manager, and given he was clearly struggling with fitness. We had Aksalu and Long as emergency cover for Simmo at the time. Why we prejudged a decision that should have been left to the new manager is anyone's guess. Money down the drain.

No point paying them up for kicking their heels, we save a few quid, they get released for the ballache of training etc without playing and a head start in finding a new club.

A good move on all three, as none of them was really up to scratch. With the exception of Calve's goal earlier on in the season which is one of the best goals i've seen at the Lane for a long time, all three have done very little.

if they aren't in the plans then let them go and save the wages. I thought Jordan would've been ok but he has voiced his opinions on the state of the club when at Huddersfield. Fatal move. Please let the next through the door be the chuckle brothers of Collins and Nosworthy.

What did Jordan have to say about the state of the club then? I must admit I missed that one.

He basically said what a mess it was in, a club as big as us shouldn't have had 4 managers in 1 season and as supporters, we don't deserve it.

Doubt we'll be saving much in wages unless they've agreed to forego some which seems unlikely.

Jordan to score a penalty for Preston against us in a couple of weeks?!

The moments passed for anyone to sign even frees for them to play this season. I believe the last date is the second to last Thursday in March, the old transfer deadline day

I said exactly the same at the time as well. If normal fans like us can forsee it being a ridiculous decision and a total waste of money, why can't the people in charge of the purse strings!?

We need Cresswell and Montgomery to follow suit in order to make any real difference. I would have said Quinn as well but he has a temporary stay of execution.

Cresswell, yes, but I would keep Monty. Not the most gifted footballer in the world, but more than upto the challenge of a league of cloggers.

free the wages up with them leaving there were flops

It isn't a league of cloggers though! The days of kicking your way out are over. Look at the footballing teams dominating this season. League One houses plenty of midfielders who will outplay Monty & Co with ease. Luckily he'll be on his way if we can find anyone daft enough to take on his ludicrous salary.

Anyone find the statement about Ched Evans at the end of the article rather bizarre? Why mention it at all?

It's like we are basically putting his name out there to attract some interest.

One contracted player regularly rumoured to be on the move is Ched Evans with Norwich cited as a likely destination, but Adams insists that no contact has been made:

"I find that strange to hear because Ched is under contract so any deal would have to go through Trevor Birch and myself and we have heard nothing from Norwich.

"Ched is not even fully fit at the moment and if ever there is anything going to happen with any player we will announce it first."
