Callum robinson

There was a thread just like this one over on the bournemouth forum about Mousset. One guy saying they clearly should never have sold him. Others pointing out he was never gonna work out with them. Others saying he'd go off the boil for us.

You can have all the Callum Robinsons in the world but if you can’t keep them out at the other end.....

Been watching first 70 mins. Both teams wanting to get the ball in the final third. Chelsea can't defend but not bad going forrerd, some poor finishing.
Missing Pulisic.
Entertaining stuff for the neutral, wish we had these two next games.
Cal Robinson playing with a smile again.

I'd like to wager he'll score more this season than Burke - which makes that entire piece of business baffling...

Not been wise after one game, but I've always felt there was player in Robinson.

In Tufty we trust - but this one seems like a strange one...

Not really he looked like a fish out of water in a front two and was the most half hearted presser I've ever seen ,made moose look like kante

Had zero confidence ,was too.slow and arsed around too much

Remember Mousset, he scored more for us in a few games than he did his entire career at Bournemouth because he had something to prove but then returned to his previous self.

I can't see any point in determining we should have kept Robinson just on the basis of couple games.

Can't help feel he will fade into the player he was with us by 2nd half of season.... Either that or he is Calvert-Lewin V2.0 😭

I don't think there's one Blades fan who hates Wilder or even thinks there's a single better manager we could get. Doesn't mean he can't be questioned or be held responsible for things.

And in the alternate universe where Robinson stayed and got 2 goals and generally continued to be not much good for us, it'd be "should have got rid in summer and got someone else in, didn't work last season so why keep him?".

Wilder can't win.

So you're saying Wilder is perfect and got all his signings spot on then?

Robinson obviously isn’t shite he went on loan to WBA was there best player 2nd half of the season got them promoted

EH? He scored 3 goals in 16 appearances for them last season. 2 of those came in February and the 3rd in the their last game of the season. If he got them promoted with those stats, the rest of the league must have been getting nothing but 0-0 draws for the whole of 2nd half of the season.

I wish CR well, but he obviously didn't fill the need that CWAK have highlighted. Sentiment is not the way to build success. Not all transfers work out and it's not always because a player isn't 'good enough'. CR was just a victim of circumstance in his time at United. Straight from Wilders mouth. Not sure what more anyone could ask for TBH.

So it’s a bit like our board then, no-one’s got a fucking clue....

No I'm saying there's not enough information to say he got it wrong.

He's got it wrong in the past, but considering how poor Robinson was for us despite having plenty of chances, you can't say he's got this wrong.

Sam64 my 7 year old niece makes more sense than you and she supports Wednesday

Interesting, she was only 3 the last time you were on here spouting your self confident opinions. In 2016, Wilder had to go, to be replaced by Warnock and you predicted 15 points by Christmas.

In case you’ve forgotten, we ended up with 100 points, and 2 seasons later got promoted to the Premier League, finished 9th and not a single comment from you in four years. Suddenly, here you are again, as though no one would notice. I have, why would you have any more idea about football today than you did four years ago?

Robinson looked lost for us playing up front. We would have had to have changed our whole set up to accommodate him. I'm pleased for the lad but he was a passenger here. whether Burke turns out to be any good is irrelevant.
As far as I know West brom were the only ones wanting to take him off our hands. If we finish below them we will be deservedly relegated.

I don't know what I've missed but is Wilder actually getting some harsh stick?

I think the fact he prioritised posing in front of the camera over celebrating with team-mates tells you the type of person he is. Maybe his ego didn't fit the dressing room as popular as he seemed
