In relation to McB, he isn't shite, he does need to grow up a bit and if he did that and concentrated on his football a bit more then he may look a bit less shite in your eyes.

As for Moose - again from what CW has said in interviews - "he needs to feel the love" and apparently he suffers from IBS which can't help. He was another gamble by CW last season like Robinson - one that hasn't gone as well as can be expected, but he again contributed greatly before Xmas which went a long way to us believing this league wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Robinson contributed, Freeman contributed but both have been shipped out.

The moment we get better forwards I am sure you will get your wish and Moose will be moved on but McB is here for the duration - sounds like that's really going to grind your gears as it looks as though he'll be first choice if fit.

Anyways, listening to CW, an absolutely bang on character, a man that doesn’t shit you, someone who I greatly admire – well, it not being his fault, but no one seems to be bringing out the tough questions. Not that I would mind. But I dare to wonder whether he’s really like the views of you ”Wilderites” protray him to be, thinking he’s so perfect that he can’t as much as even fart in company. I also doubt that he’d actually care about your hero-worshipping, and when you’d say – as is your habit – that he’s such a perfect human being, he’d rather tell you ”no, I’m not, you’re being mistaken.”

Right. He’s definitely not shite compared to me even trying to run some 100 yards. He’s probably not shite as a footballer, and might even one day come to shine in this role. One never knows. It’s just that for the SUFC to compete in the PL, there’s not so much time for McB to grow up. Not his fault, but who ever might have thought that he’ would have become anything substantially more during these past two years time, that seems to be bollocks. I may well have some shite in my eyes, a good observation, thank you, but so far I’ve seen nothing to justify McBurnie's price tag.

Moose I absolutely love as a character and a very d–d good striker whilst he's on it, but as for just ”feeling the love”, well, there are just ever so many hippie communities around the world where to do so. If he suffers from IBS, I’m lost for words, and my hippie love is with him, but I’d suspect you can’t be an IBS patient and a professional footballer at the same time, can you??

IBS is a stomach irritant. It doesn't stop you doing anything or affect your health in any shape or form. It's extremely common.

Personally I'd like to believe in love (if it wasn't such a fake concept), but I can't see for the life of me any more time given to Moose "for feeling to be loved." Sorry. Cruel, but it's a results business. Moose likes to drive sports cars, but doesn't seem to be arsed about football othet than getting paid. I do really, really hope him to prove me wrong, and become that Moose we saw last November again!

Robinson was given opportunities and didn’t make the step up. He was loaned out, then moved on.
Freeman stood in for Fleck and, and despite his adequate performance didn’t get another chance. Loaned out to Forest where he will get the game time he deserves. Still our player and still has value.
Robinson was traded for Burke, with cash coming our way. Wait and see.
In context, it begins to make sense. Your blanket dismissal of players bought a year ago, ignores the context, both then, and now.
I see little in the way of waste in respect of Robinson or Freeman, yet.
If Burke turns out to be a good squad player, or even better, it could be argued that we made a profit on Robinson.
Overall, your view seems narrow and too simplistic. We are shopping at Aldi, not Waitrose.
 
Moose. We are never going to be in the know regarding the full facts, but there are hints at what I would regard as some excuses for his inconsistent form and general lack of fitness.
I didn’t know about IBS or it’s implication for top class footballers?
Apparently he has suffered the death of those close to him.(we all deal with that differently). His wife just sprogged, and of all the calamities he has suffered, he also happens to be young, and French!
Wilder seems to think it’s worth persevering with. He could be right and he’s probably better informed than us, plus he’s a pretty decent manager.
I find Moose frustrating but given what I have said, I’m more than happy to leave it to experts.
To define him by his youth and his Lamborghini is probably a tad harsh, but he’s no Basham or Sharp as a role model either.
We are all different. I really hope CWAK can get a tune out him, and give our financial standing, maybe we just need more patience?

100% incapable of playing in any position in the system we play

Can't play with his back to goal
Can't press (seriously his attempts were embarrassing)
Physically weak
Terrible in the air
Slow to react to long balls over the top

His strengths, facing the opposition goal from wide and good feet in close areas are no good to us when he is so abjectly bad at the other stuff. And his strengths aren't anywhere near good enough to warrant changing how we play.

Him moving to a team where he can make limited positive contributions were the best for all involved.

Seemed like a good lad but let's not rewrite history. He was absolutely terrible for United 99% of the time (2nd half at Chelsea, equaliser v Man Utd and a few decent touches against Arsenal away were his highlights). He offered nothing and made us actively worse. Anyone who went to the Fylde game will tell you he was done here.

They are not “ditched”. One is on loan and presumably off our payroll and will probably be sold, the other has been sold for a sizeable consideration.

Robinson was signed very early in the transfer window - McB and Moose were signed very near to the end and hadn't been through our rigorous pre-season, so were deemed not ready to play at the start of the season - that's why Robinson started. If every one had joined early on, then I doubt Robinson (and freeman as we know) probably weren't in the frame to play anyway - They were backup/squad players.

Robinson helped us to stay in the division, as did Freeman and in very similar ways that Stearman helped us to get out of the Championship.

After a few years at BDTBL, CW and AK seem quite ruthless in moving players on who aren't a proper fit for what ever reason - they get most right and some wrong and with players like Robinson, we tried to convert from a player who played on the left to one that was down the middle - it just didn't work out and he's been moved on in one season.

There will be more next summer too that probably go the same way - it's called "driving the club forward" which is one of CW's favourite quotes.

I think you two guys are arguing about different things. You are IMO both correct. The issue is was CR worth £10m and in that regard I think WSBlade is correct. He wasn't.

Also agree that if it looks like it isn't working CWAK move them on. The issue is, with a club that has its company address at Fuk Hall, was it a good use of money? Clearly wasn't.

Not that clear as he was swapped for a £15m player plus additional £millions. Don't think he was £10m either
