CONFIRMED Callum Robinson

Maupay never struck me as a Sheffield United type signing for a number of reasons and it seems as if my suspicions were correct.

What exactly is a SUFC type player, why is Maupay not that type, and how did you reach those conclusions?
Bearing in mind that we haven't heard a peep from him, or anyone connected with him? Did you just ignore the bit that said the agent was the problem?

Exactly my point. Wilder said when covering the play off final (quoting from memory) that he hates the term “defensive midfielder/ attacking midfielder” he said you want the complete package.

I have faith our midfielders could interchange and even play the Mcgoldrick role.

Pretty excited about the quality in our side going forward. Robinson, Freeman, Morrison, Duffy, McGoldrick. All very capable of chipping in with goals and doing something special from time to time. All this rubbish about where they all play, have you watched the Premiership recently, look at Man City, Aguero is the best striker in the Prem, is he your typical striker, not at all, watch Sterling, he gets into the box as much as Aguero. Players play to a system, it will be Wilder and Knill's system, the players we have bought give us huge flexibility and possibilities.

I thought I’d read somewhere that Norwich had had a bid turned down for him, so posted “I believe it will be Norwich” or something akin to that. I’m actually very happy with Robinson, if the signing is paired with someone like McBurnie.

Chris obviously likes his home grown lads, must be something to do with an esprit de corps (sic), and a cultural thing ie. Irish lads liking a gargle and a good craic. Maupay probably wouldn't be a good fit, given his only experience of Britain has been in that there cosmopolitan London. McBurnie next ?
