Outgoing? Callum O'Hare

A Cov mate (who thinks he's ITK) said that O'Hare was keen to leave - not just because Gus left, our club is a shitshow, we have no ambition or chance of promotion. He just really wants to be on telly and fancies an acting career once he's hung his boots up. But in all seriousness this is a big loss. Our last creative player who actually gave a fuck.
Can’t knock him really for following what he thinks is best for his career. Hard to argue with his logic.

Could believe that

I would argue the ramifications will be worse … at least there was no threat of relegation and we did have plenty of attacking options that season

I know you will argue this, but we still have more than enough to stay up (and I factor any potential 12 point deduction into that). We were going to be midtable before COH went, and we'll be midtable now. Possibly could argue the same with Brooks and Hamer in there too.

Losing Deane and your namesake on the same day will go down as one of the darkest days of our club. This is barely a ripple.

tbh, hasn't the ship already sailed on the chances of avoiding a -12 point deduction if the two entities are connected due to the winding up order? This money makes little difference to that. But will cover the shortfall from PPs etc.

I believe that he'll 100% want to go. He's a top end championship player with aspirations to get promoted to the PL. With the off field issues, lack of funds being made available and obvious downward trajectory. Why would he want to stay. Probably get paid alot more at Wrexham too.

Sadly this is where my head is at now. But I suspect the monies won't go anywhere near the amount owed to the Prince, that will rumble on for a long time.

The money cannot be used for that.

The money belongs to the club

They can’t use it to pay a share debt between the former owners and the current owners.

Ffs. Hard to see much creativity now. Might as well knock it down the line and into the channels for Jock and Bradders to cross it in. I’d actually be alright with that style, but we don’t seem to play with real intent whatever we do.
There's no intent , no plan , no clue in Wilder's head of how to mount an attack.
Get CBs & holding MFs in , play the entire match in our half and hope to keep a clean sheet for a 0-0 victory.

And to think , we used to take the piss out of the pigs for exactly that 😕

rinse and repeat of when he left Coventry and came here then

He’s a good player.

He’s given good service.

He turns us a huge profit on sale.

When a player ticks all three of these boxes, it’s difficult to be critical of the club / manager especially if the player has given the nod to the move. It’s the way of the world.

This model works looking at the bigger picture. It just does and the short term pain has to be balanced against the longer term gain.

The one where we spunk Millions on players to ultimately recoup the square root of fuck all, categorically, does not.

So thank you COH and all the best for the future. Your time at our club will always be remembered fondly.

We continue…….
