Having a very quick look at a transfermarkt.

Wrexham will have spent by the end of this window 40m in euros.
Last season they ended up spending 39m in euros.

This is just fees. That is parachute payment type money being chucked about, without any sales.

I know they have good backers but how are they managing to navigate the spending rules?
Their revenue is higher than ours?

7mil would be a great fee, if we’d sold him earlier in the window. Flogging him last minute to a side we’re meant to be competing with is asking for bother

Couldn't care less they have no respect for the fans and do not communicate I hope our fans vote with their feet and tell them go whistle for their money I will not be putting another penny in till they have gone.

I can take it if things are handled correctly and the money is re-invested but what they have done is unforgivable their positions arr untenable they are the most hated owners I can recall in my lifetime.
Just read a bit in star about MPs meeting efl bosses over utd finacial worries .

I liked COH. Fizzed about a bit, weak as piss and couldn't kick it 5 yards, but he went in a direction which was away from our goal which was something.

GLTTL though - always felt he just worked here, rather than got the jist of the club.

Brooks, Haner and COH all out. Donovan and BBD in. We have been lacking creativity for a couple of seasons - hope we get some decent replacements - doubt it though.

I may be well wide of the mark here but, is it possible that we are selling our assets to try to convince the EFL we are doing our best to aid our money issues? This, to avoid the 12 points penalty. That said, I am gutted O'Hare has gone. Often the only one who seemed to give an f.

How, for a side that players 4-2-3-1, have we signed the first choice players who play the 3, and not adequately replaced them?

How have we sold the only person who plays the 10?!!

Exactly this nonsense that COH making out like he wanted to go for the sake of it.

No footballer would choose Wrexham over Sheffield United unless it is for money.

I wish him luck, to be honest. He obviously wanted the move but that's more an indictment on the state of the club than anything else.

Objectively, you'd have to think Wrexham have a bigger chance than us over the next season or two.

He has some quality and he works exceptionally hard.
A very tidy little player that we'll miss.

Controversial but, for me, most games, he ran around a lot, got bullied in every 50:50 and created sometimes but not very often. So, thanks for the effort, wish you well but I’m not joining the wailing hoards

This is worse than that time Uncle Susan asked me to pretend I wasn't her nephew for an hour.
Bye Callum. :/

This season's strategy was clear since we sold Brooks: cash in on all saleable assets, replace with over-the-hill, injury-prone journeymen and hope that - by some miracle - we scrape 8th. Only the most hardened clapper will be expecting us to reinvest the funds.

And if we did scrape eighth, what was the plan for 27/28, regardless of what happened after we finished eighth?

From the Star. Callum's explanation why he went to Wrexham.

"The club's so big and well known, and I just really wanted to come here. I'm so excited to get started,” O’Hare said. “I want to help the club go in the right direction and hopefully get what everyone wants – promotion to the Premier League.”

Wrexham are so big and well-known?
Really?

Promotion to the EPL with Wrexham?
Really?

Money talks I guess, Callum.
Like them or not they are certainly a better run club than us with a plan, structure and strategy, with owners that communicate and don't mind mixing with their supporters. Light years better than the waste of space Yanks we've got.

I always thought we'd need to lose 3 to plug the Financial gap that owners cant plug (not that ours would/could), but i thought it would be Peck or Burrows.

If no decent or any bid at all came in for either of them two, but a decent one came in for O'Hare, i guess it had to be accepted.

I liked O'Hares energy and never give up attitude.

It's a thank you from me.

I love the guy, but he's a number 10 whose best attribute is his workrate, he's 28 and he wanted to go. Getting £7m for him isn't disastrous business.

But to sell him so late in the window, when you're unlikely to get a replacement is daft. To do that when you've already sold Hamer and Brooks is bonkers.

He ran around a lot and gave everything but I'm not sure he scores the winner tonight that Donovan did, who, on that showing, could have a much higher ceiling than Callum O'Hare.

Tbh, Donovan is the replacement for O’Hare. Didn’t see it until tonight. Has potential to be better for sure, lets see now if he stay in form and also go relatively injury free. Looks like we are in for a treat with Donovan.
