They wont sell him without a replacement, maybe Craig Morgan will be on their radar.Well I'll say it right now, if Webster's the centre half we're trying to sign today, then we're going to be stuck with what we've got until January. Because that is NOT going to happen. Millwall aren't idiots.

Just a guess, but its out there now Wigan are willing to let him go.
Hopefully!!Surely the same personal reasons that prevented him joining us will apply? Fee and terms were all agreed so the problem is at the Wigan end.

Last time I looked at a league table Milwall were in the same division as us and what's more they were above us too.Now hold on a minute .......
Surely you remember that "when a bigger Club come after one of your players you have NO choice but to sell" .........
We've been reliably told this on many occasions before so its surely just a matter of signing the paperwork and having the medical ??![]()

Webster is trying to force the move, apparently.

We must have some decent funds available. We could do now we've flogged DCL, but why pay for quality...
He looks a bit like Scougall. So that's Jonathan Buchan is it...? He looks about 12.

Byron Webster, Millwall
Millwall have been left puzzled by a report that they had a deadline day bid from Sheffield United for Byron Webster.
Reports in the Yorkshire press claimed that the Blades had “gone back in” for the centre-back and that a £250,000 bid was rejected last week.
The South London Press has been told that there was no formal offer made for Webster. United boss Chris Wilder did ask about his availability after the recent 2-1 defeat at The Den.

Abart reyt ffsand still some don't get why others slag this club off.
Are we slagging us off for allowing Wilder to ask about a players availability,or for allowing us to believe things that were made up by newspapers?Abart reyt ffsand still some don't get why others slag this club off.
Double Whoosh I'll have to remember theat the end. I do believe the noises coming out of the club were that we had indeed put a bid in though to be fair.
Are you sure he wasn't just confirming that he had made an enquiry?..they must have left it behind the mantle-piece...guess we weren't in for McFadz either..
Though, I did think ths one was confirmed by Wilder?
Are you sure he wasn't just confirming that he had made an enquiry?
To be honest, I have no idea.Who knows?
A bid, an enquiry...putting the 'feelers out'...I'm sure they're are a few stages before reaching an 'official bid'.
Wilder 'refused to be drawn' on the identity of the CB whilst most news sources reported we'd had a £250k bid knocked back from Millwall in the same articles.
That doesn't have to be an official 'bid' now does it? Are you suggesting we were never interested in Webster?
To be honest, I have no idea.
Maybe we were interested to see if he was available and then were no longer interested after being told he wasn't?
What is clear is that any 2 people can read the same words and have different opinions on their meaning, which makes the rumour mill work I suppose![]()
