Just read that we may well be back in for webster in January with Bolton weighing up whether they fancy him as well, just another Dan 'will we won't we' burn episode to run and run and run!!

I saw a film yesterday, Time After Time with Malcolm McDowell, in which Byron Webster had a small role.

Probably wasn't the same bloke.

Wouldn't have any complaints with this. As long as he's happy with a place on the bench and to fight for his place :)

CW really doesn't strike me as a manager who will fuck about with signings - if a deal can't be agreed quickly on his terms then he will just move on to the next target.

Or to replace EEL.

CW has to have his finger of the pulse for potential signings all the time. It might be a case of him seeing who is available if the EEL cant be obtained long term, whilst it could also be a case of the lads agent speaking to the press or Wilder to let him know that he would be receptive to the move. I know that he was definately up for the move to Utd in the summer and fancies a move back north. Tbh if CW like the look of him then i would hope that this is a signing in addition to the signing of EEL. I have my doubts about whether Wilson is good enough long term and a back four of EEL, Wright, Oconnell and Another would be ok with me. I wouldnt have minded Morgan from Wigan but i think Wright is doing that job for us i.e.experienced older head who is marshalling the younger lads about.

He'd be a sensible signing at the right price, as he could either replace EEL or Wright. It would make sure we have a good defence.

It would also weaken Millwall and hopefully prevent them becoming a threat. He did apparently want the move last time though so they will have had time to consider replacements.

Bolton might be looking to reunite him with Beevers. I'd like to think he'd choose us ahead of them though.

Unless EEL is going back and CW is aware of this, i just cant see Webster coming

We have 5 centre backs plus Semple waiting his chance. There is no way any player with ambitions of playing games every week coming to sign when he would be 1 of 6 for 2/3 positions.....

I think a wingback/ right back to replace Brown is a must....... far more important then another centre back.
