Isn't it to replace the champions league? In essence the same competition but without the bother of having to qualify first?

Isn't it to replace the champions league? In essence the same competition but without the bother of having to qualify first?

Having already diluted the European Cup, the Champions League still doesn't give the desired results, with teams like Man Utd, Arsenal, AC Milan, etc sometimes missing out, and shithouses like Atalanta & Leicester qualifying on merit, so something had to give.

Pack em up and fuck em off. Bring back Saturday at 3 kick offs, competitive leagues that are fuelled by hatred for your local rivals not clubs in different cities who spend a similar amount and not forgetting “programmes threeee paaaaaarrrrnnnndddd”

The big 6 can take their irritating armchair fans who’ve never set foot in a ground, official agricultural vehicle partnerships, fan TV stations and fuck off so we can focus what's important.

Getting as drunk as possible by kick off, and making everyone on the row move at least twice in the first half whilst we waddle off to piss our beer back out.

It's to run alongside domestic leagues. It will replace the Champions League so the big six won't be leaving the EPL.

I wonder how many who have started going to non league games will just think ‘fuck it’ and just keep going to non league instead? Football used to be a working class sport but there’s very little for the working class in the PL. A day’s wage to watch some pricks with hair bands rolling around like they’ve been shot because somebody brushed past them.

The supporters of all the big teams are used to being the big fish in a small pond, can’t imagine fans of Man U for example being happy about finishing mid table in this new league every year. The owners will take the big money TV deals then soon bail out once the fans of the teams that are having to settle for mid table each year stop watching.

Their own fans won’t allow it. I wonder if both Manchester clubs will be included?Don’t think Everton will make the cut, thus effectively ending the Merseyside derby.

I think a real European league may be a possible way forward. The champions of each of the 18 countries would be entered into the super league each year plus the winners from the previous year, making a 19 team league. Those who fail to win the super league fall back to into domestic leagues and are replaced by the year’s domestic winner.
Monies from the super league should be distributed into domestic leagues (ideally) and let each country just concentrate on just their own league and dump the champions league and europa league competitions.

If England only has 5 what becomes of the other member of our “big 6” ?

The organisers of this super league will have a headache from day one. England has 6 so called big clubs, Germany 2, Spain has 3 at a push, Italy maybe another 3, Holland 1, Portugal 1 France 1. Every other European country haven’t even got teams any bigger than Newcastle, Everton, West Ham, Leeds etc etc.
So how do you make such a league a fair representation of European football?
