Man of the match and match comments from those who were there...

I'd say it was close between Nade and Kazim Richards :)

Law ? you sure i think he looked abit shaky to be hounest.

Nade for me class goal and some great skill.

Silverfox here:

Nade for me, closely followed by Li Tie and a sound performance by Law in 2 roles.

Shaky? He was excellent. Given that right back is not his natural position he looked as good as can be expected there. Him and Li tie had a great partneship in the first half going on.

Li Tie has got to start in midfield in place of jagielka, he is far better midfield player. Him and Tongey would be an excellent midfield pairing IMO, just the type of player Tonge needs alongside him.

When Li Tie and Tongey played together pre-season it failed miserably. I can see why they'd seem to compliment each other, but they really didn't. Might be worth another try though.

Could things get any worse than the other day?... that's the question you need to ask yourself :)

And you've based that on 1 pre-season game? Warnock may have writ them off after 1 game together but i bet Tonge would prefer to play along side Tea Bag than jags. I think it would work given time.

But is that not better than basing it on no games at all? :)

I am basing my views on the performance during that 1 game on that one game yes!, I can hardly base my views on how they played together in that game across a fictional number of other ones!....

I never said it wouldn't work, just that in the match they played together, it certainly didnt :)

I figured my objective view on the partnership was relevant :)

couldnt comment on the game as i wasnt there ( money is a problem, but not after next week :D) but good result and lets hope we get a poor team in the next round so we can get a bit of a run and a bit of confidence going

I think Ian Bennet deserves a mention as he did a good job tonight and made a few good saves.
Nade still got my MOM but Bennet was up there :)

It was a close one between Nade and Kozluk for me, but Nade's awesome strike and variety of clever tricks made him my MOTM. :)

so would any of you have any o the palyers who played tonight starting or pn the bench against arsenal on saturday and if so who?

Li Tie and Davis must feature against arsenal.

I think CKR or Nade should start with Hulse against Arsenal.
and either Li Tie or A Quinn in the centre but not both cos Legertwood needs to be there too.

Match report and pictures finally up... :)

Looky HERE

I'd like to see the Nade goal, sounded peachy. Can anyone help me out?

If we play 4-5-1 then that would be possible, but I'd like to see us stick to a 4-4-2 in which case I'd put Quinny on the left, when he was on fire at the start of last season he was playing on the left. :)

If you've got Bladesworld, the clip of Nade's goal should be up on there in the next few days, can't wait to see it again myself it were a top class goal. :)

Li Tie looked good, and Small Quinn had a good half. The pie I had was a bit on the volcanic temperature side though.

I asked for a Meat and Potato pie and instead I got a Steak and Kidney Pukka pie, which is odd because we use Shire foods and not Pukka supposedly which is a shame because I love Pukka Pies.

Meat and Potato pie from the lane are horrivble just all mashed together well was whan i had one anyway ill stick with the blatis

Judging by what you said it's lucky I got that Steak and Kidney pie afterall. :D

I went last night and was impressed with Li Tie. He demanded the ball all over midfield. He was there as an option...found lots of space and broke the attacks down really effectively (ok...it was only Bury).
Law looked composed. A slot on the bench MUST be close. CKR played with a swagger. Nade obviously has bags of tricks. Big Claude looked quality...but very rusty. Quinny was full of running..but that's all unfortunately.
Ade, Kozluk and Wright should never be close to a first team place again. All very poor.
