Burton were awful.

Unless they strengthen they will struggle to win a thrown in next season in the Championship

well you asserted I offered us more chance a few week ago
when we had more of a chance as there were more points at stake
you really dont come out of this well do you

You could get into a debate with a drunken two year old and the two year old would still come out of it looking comfortably better than you.

a 2 year old would understand what your missing

you said I argued we had more chance when the possibility was greater
well dah

I've lost track of your many daft and illogical arguments.
I should charge the cost of educating you.

Burton were expecting a hard game today against Oldham. They thought their pitch would suit Oldham.
Just saying.....

Burton were dire. They looked like a conference side. My brain will explode if I think about it any more.

Well, well, well.
Seems the title is still on.
Come on Millwall, beat these and they'll really start to wobble.

Looks like Cloughs on his way to ruining another team. If they do make promotion they should sack him immediately if they want to stay up.
I watched the Burton/Oldham game TD and all that is bad about NC was on display.
Negative one up front stuff that saw them under the cosh for most of the first 45 saw him do nothing at half time to change things.
Consequence? More under the cosh stuff in the second 45.
Yes, they had one or two near misses, but so did Oldham.
The same Oldham side we - yes WE dismantled just a few days before.

When Burton beat us it was as bad as we've been all season, but Hasselbainks side would've put 3 or 4 past us that night.
You could see Cloughs influence in that side: Negative movement and awful set-piece play.

I don't rate Clough but I think he would have as good a chance as anybody to keep Burton in the Championship, that's his type of job, stabilising a club for someone else to come in and finish the job off. Although, Burton being in the Championship and staying there would be a mammoth task indeed. I suppose he has to get there first, far from a foregone conclusion.

bet Cloughie's hoping we win on Satdi now. Still, "a good point" against Oldham the other night eh Nige?

Top of the League and far from happy.

Jesus wept.
To be fair - if Oldham were a better team they would have battered us.
Not sure how or if we can get out of this one!
Hopefully this isn't the start of a slippery slide!

The strength of this side has been based around Weir and Sherif. At this time of the season we need both of them. Poor selection.

-------

The way we've played Saturday and so far tonight , we will not be getting automatic promotion . This is really poor .

--------

Onto plan C now.
C= clueless clough.

--------

Sorry to say the wheels have been slowly coming off for long time, poor performances and no investment to get us over the line,Derby and Leicester loanees are just not good enough,Wigan and Walsall must be laughing all the way to the championship.

--------

I'm sure there's going to be lots of opinion positive and negative over the coming days after tonight's predictable showing but for me Nigel has left us badly exposed with his transfer dealings both in and out. We all know that if the usual first eleven are all on their game we are a match for everybody in this league. The trouble is is when we drop off 10% we are very ordinary and there is nobody on the bench who can really make a difference.

The 3 in's are all untried youngsters who can all contribute in their own way but are by no means match winners or game changers. I may get slaughtered for this comment but I don't think JFH would have left the squad looking like this with the position we are in in the league. I think he would have made sure that the bench was stronger than it is now.

At the end of the day we are still 7 points clear of third and who knows Walsall may slip up but we are really leaving it to chance. We cannot add to the squad now so what's done is done but we badly need a win on Saturday from what looks like one of our easier remaining games.

What a shock!

Walsall have two games in hand now as well. Nice.

I think Burton will scrape it though, Walsall won't be consistent enough to catch them. Then they'll go on to be the poorest Championship side for a long time.

Just out of interest, who was in charge of burton when they failed to beat us in September....
