Burton Albion on a Friday-why?

sure it was clough who asked us wether we minded playing on the friday and we agreed . not sure of the reason

They shouldn't be allowed to pick and choose when they play.

This actually works out well for us because we have an extra day's rest before the Fulham game on Tuesday. But Fulham have a day less, as do Burton's opponents Brentford.

Then there are travelling fans who are far more likely to be inconvenienced on a Friday night than a Saturday.

And all for no good reason.

Also, as a matter of interest, Burton don' have any more Friday night home games scheduled, according to BBC fixtures.

Can’t see what the fuss is about.

Any home club can ask to change the day but the away club MUST agree it.

Normally any club would prefer to play Saturday afternoon to ensure bigger crowds (bigger revenue) but they know a local ish game against us will still mean a big crowd even on a Friday night.

Also to be honest due to the long international break it’s an advantage to both clubs. We get an extra days rest more than Fulham when we play them at the Lane Tuesday night.

Barnsley and Rotherham are close to united and Wendy but don’t play on Fridays?

Speaking of Fri night. Anyone have any good advice for Burton away? Pubs etc? Thinking of driving via Peak District to avoid Derby.

Its only bothered me because I had presumed it was on sky so had planned my Friday around being in the boozer
Now disappointed I won't be able to see us go top top top of the league again

There must be some logic but I can't believe more than a handful of Forest and Derby fans will attend just because it's Friday.

Would have thought more chance of inconveniencing more regular fans.

That said they must know what they're doing as they've always been a decent run club.

Derby is a nightmare Friday rush hour. I've no idea if it quicker going another way but I've done Derby on a Friday late afternoon and it was a car park.

Probably get a build-up around the maccy d's roundabout on the A38 at Derby but shouldn't be that bad,I work in Burton quite a bit and traffics not that bad around teatime.
M1 j28 straight to the big industrial site of burton.
