Outgoing? Burrows

Weird that RND had been frozen out if we are open to selling Burrows. Looked absolutely finished last time he played for us as a caveat, but went on to have an ok season at championship level so as back up to McCallum it wouldn’t be the worst. Would allow us to distribute the funds to other areas of the team as well.
I’m guessing they see McGinchley as already at the level of RND so he’s surplus to requirements.

No skin off my back if he goes, McCallum first choice, fee hopefully paves way for Souttar or another CB. And what from I keep hearing about McGlinchey definitely not far away from first team.

We need to make sacrifices to create a better squad and this is one of them.

But if McAllum gets injured we are then left with a totally unproven kid as first choice left back who would be targeted by every opposition team. Im for either RND or Burrows going but not both unless Wilder has another "Doherty like" player on his radar.

Despite a poor season last season I’d still like us to make a profit on Burrows if he is sold.

Especially if it’s West Ham buying.

I really don't get our fans sometimes, he's scored 5 goals in his each of his last two seasons and got 4 assists last season not too shabby for a left back and we are not bothered if we sell him.
So if we did sell him we have lost Brook's and Burrow's goals and assists from last season from a side that didn't exactly set the goals scored and chances created world alight and replaced them with ?
A young Kid on loan.

Watched him in the friendlies that harry mcglinchey and honestly he looks raw but I still think he'd be good backup to Mccallum, He's tall, good work rate, quick and better at defending than Burrows despite being younger so I'd be happy to sell Burrows and RND

I agree any ( slim )chance of success we have for nest season is that three youngsters develop into squad players how brooks ,seriki ,peck and arblasters have I reckon baptiste and mcglinchey could do that
Don't think wilder will like but we shall see

I see where you’re coming from. I’d prefer to keep him as he’s always capable of a few goals a season. Got a good shot on him. However I can see some may say that Wilder can rely on McAlllum for the same output and Burrows has more transfer value to fund a desperately needed Centre Half. Expect more teeming and ladling due to lack of funds.

I get what you are saying and while McAllum is probably a better defender I am not so sure he's has good as Burrows going forward, also he's not guaranteed to even be the same player after his injury. Don't forget he struggled when he first came here and was written off by a few on here (i know that doesn't mean much). It was bad enough last season watching us pass backwards and sideways playing walking football I want too be entertained and if Burrows does go we will have lost two of our more attacking players which makes the prospect of not playing walking football even less likely.
Excellent use of Teeming and Ladling by the way.

I think there’s a good chance we’ll see McCallum and Burrows on the pitch at the same time at certain points this season.

I think Burrows in front of McCallum could work very well. Burrows has a nice cross on him, likes to get forward and is a bit suspect defensively. But the latter wouldnt be such an issue if he had a defender behind him. I remember the grunters had something similar with Phil King and Nigel Worthington back in the early 90s. I despise the twats as much as the next man, but credit where its due, those two were very dangerous on their left hand side. McCallum and Burrows could do something similar for United. Would be helpful if we also signed an out and out left winger though also (Matondo?)

Far too forward thinking for Wary Wilder. IMHO he’s lost the spark he had. No tactical innovations, same owd same owd. 4231 and my way or the highway.

You know full well that despite the evidence of their complete ineffectiveness mounting up, he will start with Cannon up front, Hamer on the left and Rothwell partnering Jairo notwithstanding neither of them have the pace for a chase. He will continue to play them to show us amateur champ manager fans that he’s right and we’re wrong. It’s about him.

The fans knew Lundstram was tossing it off. No he played him no matter what. Brewster played wherever he could squeeze him in because he wouldn’t admit he wasn’t a striker. Same with Cannon. He’s bombed Brookes out so he’s gone. Duffy was another he fell out with to the detriment of the team. Fell out with Wes and what the hell was he doing keeping Robinson in his side at the expense of Holden? Ah yes, Robbo could feight.

Worst thing was winning Manager of the year. It went to his head. He’s completely changed. I just hope he’s got a plan this season other than to sign over the hill “experienced pros.

Rant over.
