I dont know how many exactly have we conceded due to him being out of position you tell me? Is it any more than we've conceded cus Tanganga and McGuiness arent good enough? Is it more than we've conceded because Seriki has been out of position?

Rightly or wrongly there's a perception thst hes no good at defending but where are the numbers? If you add the 17 goal involvements back in id bet he shows up at the top of our defenders "net goal involvements"
It's a combination of a few factors last season, depending on the opposition's formation, if Burrows is left stranded you then need McGuinness to cover the RW plus tracking his original CF, Tanganga will naturally cover the space left by McGuinness which creates an opening of another CF in the gap between Tanganga and Seriki. The major problem comes around by lack of leadership at the back.

One prime game that comes to mind was Blackburn at home, although 1 player doesn't make a team, Burrows defensive errors was responsible for all 3 of their goals, 1st goal he played the striker onside, then didn't track him back to make the tackle but was waving for offside to the assistant, 2nd goal didn't pick up the man for the rebound off Davies and was caught ball watching when it was poked in and for the 3rd didn't make any attempt to close down the crosser of the ball. Don't mind too much if he put an effort in to close down a cross but it still went in but just watching it isn't going to stop it.

The below was the winner for Norwich from the 2-1 loss, Burrows is at the bottom of the screen jogging back.

Those are just 2 examples, if we played a 3-5-2 you would have the natural central CB in the to pick out the CF but with a straight back 4 we need a dominant leader in there, neither Tanganga or McGuinness are that, Mee was but he was 36 when trying to assist McGuinness and Burrows and then was out of favour with Wilder. I am in favour of keeping Burrows but I would play him at LW and encourage him to go forwards as he clearly has assists and goals in him, with McCallum behind him at LB we would be solid enough there as he doesn't do going forwards too much and we could keep a good shape.

I think he'll go because he's most like to be second choice s d it's just common sense to sell now because his value will depreciate if he's back up. We then sign a Martin Cranie type in terms of age and experience on a free.

I suppose the options are:

1. Don’t sell.
2. Source form within I.e. Norrington-Davies, Buyabu.
3. Look at free options I.e. Dennis Cirkin (unlikely $), Matt Targett, Charlie Taylor.
4. Loans - Amass? Meghoma?
5. Buy - suggestions?

always rated jili buyabu suprised he hasnt made it great pace but another like seriki and burrows who are more like wingbacks

Assistant manager says he is fine just not risking him for a week with a little issue. Similar to how One missed a game.
