Been saying it all season, he's hung out to dry on that left... never has any options.Burrows ha# no support down the left as the midfield player who should support and get beyond him is Hamer who is given a free rein to wander into central positions. When our right back receives the ball, either Raki Saki or BBD are ahead of him providing an outlet when Burrows receives the ball he has no one.
It is not rocket science purely another master stroke from Wilder..
Play BBD in his preferred position ahead of Burrows and both with improve.
This. He's been very average most of the season
Don’t know why I put ‘found’ in there?Wtf is he doing with every set piece he takes? Just found a floaty, side foot curler straight in to the keepers arms every time’ and if the keeper doesn’t catch it the oppositions 6ft 9 centre half will out jump O’Hare every time ffs so frustrating
We've been doing that for years. Crosses in open play, free kicks and corners always seem to be aimed for one meter in front of the keeper. It's almost like we only want to score a rebound if they don't catch it which they do 99% of the time.Wtf is he doing with every set piece he takes? He’s not flourishing. Such a disappointment.I’m not sure what the fuss is with Burrows. No goals, no assists, set plays meh, gets a nose bleed trying to go forward, not quick, but better defensively than i was led to believe.
If we’d hadn’t have spunked a pre-season chasing him due to his lofty reputation, I’m not sure we’d be as confident that he’ll come good.
Hopefully a slow burner who will gradually flourish.
Given his defensive contributions have been so ropey of late but he’s got on the scoresheet and assisted, I wonder if we could just prime him to ‘repl
He’s got 6 goal contributions in the last 15 and that has been from left back. Gus has 11 in the same period but from far further forward and with fewer defensive responsibilities.
If we are continuing with 4-2-3-1 then why not have McCallum at left back and have Burrows focus on where he’s been doing far better?
We will lose Hamer for the inevitable lowering of the wage bill but perhaps having a more conventional left footed player would help balance out the team?
