You didn't even need the benefit of hindsight to see just how poorly Wilder recruited in the PL. Alot of our current woes are repercussions of his transfer strategy.

He brings incredible pace and acceleration. He’s actually a really good footballer – technically as well. The reason why we’ve got him this time is because he’s not quite found those ingredients to get that consistency at clubs

He’ll keep getting chances because managers and scouts will always look at what he can do rather than what he can’t because the high end of what he can do is so tantalising.

When you factor in the fact that most managers are incredibly self confident there will be no shortage of people who believe they’re the one who will turn him into the complete player.

I don't know why everyone has written Burke off as being terrible. If he gets a run of games at Millwall and gets his confidence up then I really wouldn't be surprised to see his career take off.
